Annayees dozed of it’s a few hours away from her town, plus she used her powers untrained so she definitely exhausted. I put on some music kept on the lowest volume I don’t want to wake her up. All of the sudden I received a mind link from my brother Anthony.

“ Hey bro, mom is trying to surprise you with a party and of course inviting Sophia” of course my mother doesn’t listen, I have already told her I found my mate.

“ Is it tonight?” I asked my brother.

“Yes, she’s not accepting Annayees as you mate.” My mother wants it her way.

“ I’ll be in town tomorrow” I’m not having Annayees around judgmental people, she doesn’t need that right now.

“Mom will be piss, where are you going to stay?” my brother asked me.

“I’m taking my mate camping with rock-climbing” Annayees needs a distraction.

“Your mate actually down for that?” he asked me.

“You have no idea how dare devil this woman is” I’m proudly saying.

“Just don’t say anything be surprised when I don’t show, I’ll see you tomorrow” I tell him and cut the mind link. I rerouted to the cramp site, we have to stop and buy gear before. Luckily there is a sports store not to far from the camp site. I pulled into the sports store parking lot once I put the car in park. Annayees wakes up.

“Are we here already?” She sit up to look out the window.

“No I figured you wanted to do something fun and exciting first. Do you like camping?” I’m hoping she says yes.

“Yeah of course, I love sleeping under the stars” she looks excited. Good.

“Come on let’s get the gear we need” as I open my door and got out, Annayees followed. I turn to give her a death stare.

“I’m sorry I got excited, do you want me to get back into the car so you can open my door?” She’s very sarcastic I freaking love it. I smiled at her and shook my head and motioned her to get close to me. I grabbed her hand and lead her into the store. They have everything you need to camp and hunt. I look at Annayees and she got excited, she looks like a kid in a candy store.

“First time here?” I asked her, she looked at me for a moment and smiled then went back to looking at everything.

“I have never been outside my town besides few miles deep in the mountains.” She said with a sad voice. I’ll fix that.

“O.K. let’s meet here in thirty minutes, I want you to get everything you can thing if we need to camp with for one night. And I’ll go get things to fish and stuff.” I gotten close to her and kissed her soft, she kissed me back.

“I’ll see you in thirty minutes.” she said then turned with a cart and left. Damn I love to see her leave. I stared at her ass for a bit then walked over to the sports section. I grabbed the gear we need to climb with, also fishing poles. After thirty minutes we meet back up. I look at Annayees, I can see how happy she is. She found everything we need to camp with for one night.

“Ready to check out gorgeous?” I ask her.

“Let’s go!” with excitement in her voice. We finished paying and got into my car. I drove off to the camp site, we stop at the little market place they have on the camp site and bought some food for the night. We managed to find a good spot to camp and it’s close to the mountain we are going to climb. We set up the tent and set everything up we need.

“No what? Fishing?” Annayees asked me.

“Not yet first we’re going rock climbing” I told her, she got super excited.

“Really! Let’s go!” She was jumping up and down like a child receiving a new toy. I grabbed everything we need.

“Would you like some help?” She asked me grabbing the ropes. It’s going to be hard letting her do things on her own. I don’t want her lifting a finger when she’s with me. We walked to the mountain and set down the gear.

“I noticed you only have enough rope for one. Are we taking turns?” She asked me.

“I don’t need rope, I rather have you safe than me.” I winked at her and started setting the rope and everything making sure it holds. I look at Annayees to see if she is ready to climb. She has everything on, it seem like this isn’t her first time.

“Do you do a lot of rock climbing?” I asked her.

“Whenever I get a chance to. By dad didn’t give me much free time to myself, I barely had time to work out.” I still can’t believe her own father stole her money and her freedom. I look at her and reached out to her and grabbed her from her waist. I reached in to give her a kiss, she wrapped her arms around my neck. We only kissed for a few seconds, but it felt like hours. I look at her, she has the biggest smile on her face.

“Come on I’ll race you to the top” I told her.

“You’re so on” She said, I grabbed the rope and clipped it to her safe harness.

“Ready... Go!” I yelled and started to climb, I paced myself trying not to beat her to bad. I look down to see if she’s doing O.K., she wasn’t there. I looked to my side and she right there, a little a head of me.

“Come on slow poke!” She yells at me. Damn she’s good. I started to pick up the pace, I under estimated her. I passed her, I stayed a little head of her. We finally get to the top, she caught up fast. We almost had a tie, she was out of breath but happy.

“Damn I almost had you!” as she’s takes a drink of her water bottle. I was close to the cliff looking at the view.

“Look at this beautiful view” as I said that all of the sudden the cliff started to crumble underneath me. S**t! I didn’t have enough time to react, all of the sudden I felt rope around me. I look at where the rope is coming from, it’s was Annayees. I grabbed the rope and pulled myself up, damn she has some strength.

“You have fast reflexes, thank you for saving me” I tell her.

“No problem handsome” she smiled and pulled the rope so I can get closer to her. She kissed me, I was surprised for a second and kissed her back.

“Come on let’s get back to the camp site.” I tell her grabbing all the gear. We walked back to the camp and I dropped everything I had on the ground.

“Can we fish now?” Annayees asked me.

“Yeah of course we need to eat something.” I tell her and grabbed the fishing poles and warms.

“Come on we should be close to a good spot to fish.” I tell her and she grabbed her phone and followed me.

“I don’t think I have ever met a girl that likes to fish.” I tell her.

“You never met a girl as unique like me.” She smiled at me and took a picture of me.

“What was that for?” I asked her.

“The before and after picture after I catch the biggest fish.” She said.

“Oh a challenge huh, fine who ever catches the smallest fish makes dinner.” I tell her and winked.

“I hope you know how to cook.” She said and walked a little further from me.

“What you don’t want to fish in the same spot?” I asked her and chuckled. She just smiled at me and started to get her pole ready to cast out. We been fishing for forty minutes until Annayees screamed out.

“S**t this f$&ker is big” I looked over to her and see her struggling to reeled in her line. I was walking towards her until I felt I tuck on my line. We both was struggling to bring the fishes in. I finally managed to bring in the fish and I looked over to Annayees and I see her drop her pole and jumped into the water... What is she doing?

“Are you O.K.?” I asked her. Before she answer me I see her reach into the water and grabbed the fish.

“The f$&ker was stuck and was about to cut the line so I had to jump right in.” I looked at her fish and looked at mine. Damn she has the biggest fish.

“Guess I am making dinner tonight” I tell her and she smiled. I helped her out of the water and we head back to the camp. She grabbed some clothes and started to change. I couldn’t help it but stare at her amazing body. She caught me looking.

“What you didn’t get a good enough look in the shower?” She asked me with a smile on her face. I just smiled at her and turn to get the fire started. I started on dinner. After eating I decided to lay a blanket out so we just lay and gaze at the stars. Annayees loved that idea. We lay there talking about dreams and future.

All of the sudden I hear a noise coming a half mile away and it doesn’t smell friendly, but it does smell familiar. Who the f$&k will be out here in the dark? I get up and looked at the direction the noise is coming from, then I looked at Annayees. She must of heard it too because she’s on alert, she turns to me and nods. Oh she’s a fighter.. We wait for whoever it is get closer. My heart starts racing, my wolf is excited for some action. The person got closer and I know who it is. That guy who’s been following Annayees, he’s good I’ll give him that. I growl at him.

“What the f$&k do you want?” I asked him.

“I came for the girl” he said.

“Not going to happen, if you want to live you can turn around right now.” I tell him.

“Can’t go back home without her.” The man said and got even closer. I growl at him again.

“Don’t come any closer, if you want to go back home then go back and tell Alexis Black that Annayees is mine!” I tell him with all my strength.

“But if you want to die tonight you’ll get closer.” He stays still for a moment and then lunged right at Annayees and turn into his wolf mid air, I turn into my wolf and went for his throat. He saw me coming and dodged it, but not good enough I still got some kind of hold on him. I threw him against a tree, I looked at Annayees and she yelling at me.

“Concentrate!” I look back at the other wolf, just in time because he was coming straight at me. I ran towards him trying to keep the fight away from Annayees. I hit bumped him and trying to expose his neck, but failed. He bit down on my left leg trying to rip it off, I bit down on the back of his neck and pulled ripping skin at the process. He let go and exposed his neck, I bit down and ripped his neck. End up killing him... I warned him..

I went back to my human self and ran towards Annayees. I found her still at the camp site...

“Annayees what are you doing?” I asked her naked in front of her, she basically put everything in my car.

“Obviously you killed him, so now we have to go.” She said. I continue to look at her puzzled.

“Not my first clean up. Well not death just people getting beaten up pretty bad... Come on get some close on and let’s go.” She already half way in the car. I ran and quickly put clothes on, got into the car and drove off. I look at Annayees.

“Did you get everything?” I asked her.

“Yeah, basically anything we touched” she looks at me.

“You amaze me, why were you so calm?” I asked her on our way home. It’s late so everyone should be gone from that party my mother planned.

“I don’t know? I guess ever since I put this necklace on everything became clear about the supernatural realm.” She looks at me. My mate is incredible. I reached over to grabbed her hand and pulled it up to my lips and kissed it.

“I fall for you more every single day, do you know what a mate is?” I asked her.

“Like soulmates?” She said with a confused look.

“It’s more than that. Mates in our supernatural realm means we are physically and emotionally bonded to each other. When you don’t see anyone else but your mate, the love of your life. The reason you live. Annayees you’re my mate, and I know you feel the same bond.” I tell her. I wait for her response, she is staring at me. I wish I know what she was thinking about.

“So that’s what it is?.. The reason for all those feelings I never felt before... um mates?... So you’re going to introduce me as your mate or girlfriend?” She chuckled, I just love how sarcastic this woman is.

“No, as my girlfriend and hopefully my wife soon.” I winked at her. She blushed. Even though we were attacked a little bit ago, she seems to never be fazed by it. She must had a tough childhood. We’re about five miles away from home, I just hope everyone is a sleep. I mind linked my brother to make sure we have enough men protecting our home. I know Alexis will come looking for her, and I am going to be ready for him.
