It been a three days since Lizandro left town, he calls me three times a day and we text each other all the time. I do miss him a lot, I haven’t talked to my dad since the all dinner thing. I actually contacted a lawyer to work my case, I don’t want to put my dad in jail but I do want him to pay me back all he has spent. My lawyer told me he spent a huge amount of my money, technically the house he bought he used my money for. So it’s my house, I still haven’t decided to sell the house or let him keep it. Jessica tells me not to be nice to him, he did make my life miserable. But he is my father, if it wasn’t for him my mother would never had me. All of the sudden I receive a text message, I hope is Lizandro. I pick up my phone to check the message it wasn’t Lizandro it’s actually my friend Drake, he just asked me if I like to go out tonight with a group of our friends. Dancing sounds great tonight, I’ll see if Jessica would like to join us. I send Drake a text to let him know I’ll be joining them tonight.

It’s my day off, so I decided to head up to the mountains and run for a few miles. Jessica let me barrow her car while she’s with her fiancé, I can’t believe she getting married soon. It feels like just yesterday her and Victor just met, they are perfect for each other. Victor is a really good guy, he’s actually a Register Nurse works at the hospital. He’s tall dark brown hair average size man, he’s an animal lover just like her. I pulled up to a parking spot and parked, I got out and felt this weird feeling that someone was watching me. I look around to see who it was, but I don’t see anyone one around. I walk up to the trail that leads to Sams shack, I’ll say hi before my run. I still felt that feeling, but I ignored it and continue to walk. I reached to the shack and it was busy, damn it is around lunch time. I’ll say hi after I guess. There’s a lot of people on the trails which is good makes me feel safer, but I have to take it light so I don’t run anyone over. I started to stretch and I noticed a few other people doing the same, looks like I am not the only one that had the idea to have a run this afternoon. Maybe it was a poor choice, I should of went to the gym. Oh well, no turning back. I finished my stretch and started running, I tried to start running before the others. I don’t want to get stuck behind them, the fresh air is nice.

For some reason ever since I met Lizandro my senses are in over drive, I smell the soil from plants. I can smell all the plants and can tell which flower is each smell, I don’t have to look at the flowers and know. I can smell wet dog behind me... I look over my shoulder to see if there was a dog behind me, but there was no dog. Just a man a few feet behind me, strange... I look forward and decided to push it, for some reason my mind told my body to run. So I did, it felt great. I miss pushing myself like this, I continue to run faster until I noticed two women with strollers heading my way. I slowed down, I don’t want to run into them. I look over my shoulder and noticed that guy caught up... is he falling me? I never seen that man before, no I probably wound his man hood by leaving him in the dust. I moved over so the ladies can pass by as soon as they passed me I started running again. Half a mile up you can see Sams shack, I didn’t stop I kept going until I reached the shack. As soon as I reached it I stopped by a picnic table and stretch out and try to slow down my heart rate. I look towards the trail and noticed the guy finally caught up, I just smirked and looked away and head over to say hi to Sam.

I reached the window and ordered a water, I ask if Sam was there and the employee told me he’s off today... That’s strange he’s never off, this is his life. Oh well I decided to head to Jessica house and shower, once i got into the car I looked at my phone. I have a text message from Lizandro and a miss call from my dad. I opened my text messages.

“Miss you gorgeous, hope to see you soon” He misses me, I miss him too.

“Miss you more. I can’t wait to see you” I texted him back. Ignored my dads miss call, I started the car I look behind me before backing up and noticed that guy who was trying to keep up. Staring at me, I must have pissed him off. Oh well, I backed up and drove off. I arrived to Jessica house, look like she’s not home yet. I went inside and took a quick shower, right when I entered the shower I hear my phone go off. Someone is calling me, I’ll call them back once I get out of the shower. Got out and wrapped a towel over myself and looked at my phone, Lizandro called me. I dialed his number...

“Hey gorgeous what are you up to?” I’m so use to him calling me gorgeous.

“Just got back from my run up in the mountains, and just got out of the shower” why did I tell him that?

“I can’t wait to see you in my shower... how was your run, anything weird happened?” That perv I knew he would say something like that... I laugh it off... Wait...

“What do you mean weird?” How the hell does he know I felt weird up there today?

“Just want to know if anything weird happen to you? I thought you had an exciting story to tell me?” Now he’s being weird..

“Yeah there is one weird thing happen up in the mountains... Sam finally took a day off!” Why would I tell him about that I probably destroyed a man manhood by leaving him in the dust. Pretty proud of that.

“What Sam never takes a day off and this time he did?..” he’s interested in Sam

“Yeah, he never had a day off, he would always run the window during lunch. The employee told me he took the day off.” That is strange, he loves his shack.

“Annayees please be careful, I’ll be there soon. I miss you” he said soon.

“I will and miss you too” we say our goodbyes. I got dressed real quick just a t-shirt and sweats until later tonight. I send Jessica a text to let her know about the club later tonight, hopefully she goes would like to spend as much with her as I can. I spend most of my time on the couch, my dad been blowing up my phone all day. What does he want from me? He already took enough from me. All of the sudden I get a call from my lawyer...

“Hey Annayees it’s Adam... I looked into your mothers will and it looks like she left a package for you to open on your eighteenth birthday..” I had no idea about this.

“Really?! I had no idea, when can I pick it up?” I want to know what my mother left me. Did she know something was going to happen to her?

“ Tomorrow” Can I wait until tomorrow...

“O.K. sounds good I’ll see you tomorrow. Thank you” I hung up the phone and stared up to the ceiling. How can my dad keep this s**t from me? My head started to hurt from all these lies my father told me. I decided to poor myself a drink, I went into the kitchen to see if Jessica has any type of alcohol here. As soon as I step in the kitchen I smelled wet dog, I look around to see if Jessica pups were around be they weren’t. I look up and out the kitchen windows and do see any dogs out there... strange. I found a bottle of wine, I guess this will have to do. I open the bottle and poor myself a glass, I put on some music on Jessica surround system. I’m just going to dance out all this stress, I started dancing. After thirty minutes of dancing Jessica walks in, she stares at me for a second. I didn’t stop dancing all of the sudden Jessica joins me, we started dancing to Backstreet Boys-Everybody.

After a while we decided to start getting ready for the club, I decided to wear a dress. It’s reddish orange color, it’s has straps and from my waist down it’s loose. So when I’m dancing and turn my dress will lift and spin with me. So I should wear some tight shorts under my dress.

Jessica decided to wear a black mini skirt with a red top, she didn’t want any attention to herself at the club so she kept it simple. After we got ready I looked at the time and noticed we only have forty five minutes until we have to meet up with the group. I turn to ask Jessica if she was about ready, she told me she’s almost done. All of the sudden my phone starts to ring, I look at my phone my heart begins to race. It’s Lizandro. I answered.

“Hi, I haven’t talk to you in a while” I told him.

“It only been three hours” I hear him laughing.

“What are you up to gorgeous?” He asked me.

“I’m about to go to the club with Jessica and some friends of ours.” I’m super excited to go dancing.

“I rather have you home safe instead out in the crowd.” Is he really telling me he wants me home instead?

“Are you really telling me to stay home? I rather hang out with my friends instead being at home alone.” No, I make my own decision.

“It’s my opinion baby girl, I’m not telling you to stay home. You’re a grown woman. I just want you safe.” Good I didn’t want dumb him, I really like him but I am not about to be with someone who act like my dad... Nope!

“O.K. I promise I’ll be extra careful and I already did my drinking so I promise I will not drink for the rest of the night.” I told just so he can relax about it.

“O.K. gorgeous, I’ll let you go have fun. Call me when you get home tonight” I told him I will and we said our goodbyes for now. I turned to Jessica she’s been looking at me since I answered my phone.

“Is everything O.K.?” Jessica asked

“Yeah everything is fine, he just wants me to be careful.” I reassured her.

“Are you ready to head out?” I asked her.

“Yeah let’s go!” We grabbed our stuff and head out the door into her car. Ten minutes later we arrived to the club we parked and started walking up to the building and saw all our friends waiting for us. We met up with them and we head inside but before heading inside I smelled that wet dog smell again. What is that damn smell? I looked around and noticed that guy that I left in the dust earlier today, what a small world we are going to the same club. We made eye contact and something in my head told me to run, I ignored it a followed my friends inside.
