Terence Delors hung up the phone happily. He spent a month vacation in Yamoussoukro before taking up his post in a famous audit firm where his uncle had found him a place. The counterpart to this piston stroke was that he would watch over his house.
Celestin Ibitowa had just got married. He and his wife were flying on a month-long honeymoon tour during which they would visit Athens, Venice and Paris.
Although before other plans for his vacation, Terence Delors gladly canceled them. Moreover, this stay in Yamoussoukro was not too restrictive, on the contrary. Taking the kids out could be a sweet distraction. And then it was definitely not the moment to upset his uncle.
Usually, it was Ouédraogo, the family driver who looked after the children, but he himself took advantage of his boss vacations to take a month off. Celestin Ibitowa had granted it to him without hesitation because in the five years he had been in his service, he had never had any rest.
Terence Delors Syndoh had recently returned from France where he had acquired a master's degree in auditing and management control at SCM, superior school of management in Paris. Before flying to Europe, he first obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Economic Science at the University of Abidjan Cocody. And thanks to his uncle, a wealthy businessman, majority shareholder in the said firm, he had found this golden place.
Terence Delors smiled as he remembered his uncle's words:
- You will take the children out, and you will be accompanied by their nanny who will watch them.
He imagined the nanny in question very well. For him, it could only be a forty-year-old girl, looking good and stubborn, helping enough, with a checker apron tied on a nasty tank top with frayed edges ... Finally, the classic nanny. But that was not dramatic, he would not have to present her as his future wife. He would only have to endure her presence stoically for four weeks; it was doable.
Terence Delors got dressed and left the studio he rented from Cocody Angré. After his return from France, he did not want to return to the family home with 220 apartments. Having dived in Parisian restaurants, he had savings and could afford to live alone while waiting for things to happen.
He got out in search of a taxi. He was a handsome man with a pleasant physique who did not go unnoticed. he had a clear, smooth complexion which his stay in Europe had made even more attractive. He had large eyes with bushy eyebrows and a round mouth, contrasting with his square jaw. There emanated from him a striking manly charm that made him a heartbreaker. He proudly wore his thirties and enjoyed the pleasures of life.
That day, Terence Delors wore a big brand gray jeans set. The long-sleeved shirt was upright and revealed underneath, the white bodysuit that took up his muscular chest. He wore a pair of Sebago golf Doscides, and sunglasses hid his eyes.
He arrived at his destination. It was the summer vacation period and his mother, a teacher, was at home. As usual, she received him with great joy. It was her eldest son in whom she had great hope. He naturally had a special place in his heart.
-How are you, my darling? Madam Syndoh said kissing her son.
-Well, mom; only I have a terrible time getting used to this overwhelming heat! Terence Delors replied in a thick voice that had become fat since he had returned from France.
They settled in the living room. Her mother gave him the donuts she kept on hand while she waited for her visits. She also served him a glass of the ginger juice of his speciality.
But as soon as he took the first sip of the drink, he complained.
- it's undrinkable, mom! It stings incredibly!
His mother rushed over to dilute the juice and added more sugar. She knew very well that her son was exaggerating like this, but for a long time she had passed all his whims which gave him the opportunity to take care of him and pamper him.
- it's better that way ! Terence Delors conceded, drinking again.
- it makes me happy that you like it ...
They discussed indifferent matters then he informed his mother of the reason for his visit.
- I leave tomorrow. For Yamoussoukro. My uncle got me a place in a major audit firm. I have to send him back the elevator by working a month at his place as a butler, driver and bodyguard for his children, he explained with humor.
His mother looked at him with eyes brimming with tenderness. She was happy for him. But she knew his petticoat side and was desperate not to see him change, finally buy himself a pipe.
Every time she made remarks to him on this point, he balked, retorted that she was having ideas and that he was not doing more than anyone else. She would once again take the opportunity and try to give him some advice.
- it gives me great pleasure that your uncle found you a job so easily; thus you will not know all the sufferings which are the lot of young graduates like you ... It will therefore absolutely be necessary for you to moderate your behavior with your uncle ... He hates certain attitudes, especially as regards untimely relations between man and woman. ..
- What do you mean, mom? Terence Delors asked with a scowl.
- Nothing in particular, my darling; but if you still want to benefit from your uncle's largesse, and remain his protege for a long time, you must adhere to a certain discipline and behave impeccably.
This time, she didn't take any evasions and told him the bottom of her mind. She should have adopted a harsher language towards him a long time ago. Whoever loves punishes well, as the saying goes.
Terence Delors looked at his mother for a long time, but found nothing to complain about. She was right, it wasn't a life to flutter around like this. He remembered promising himself that he was going to be twenty-five, then he'd pushed the deadline back to twenty-eight, and so on. And with the turn things were taking, he wasn't about to pour water in his wine and stick to one partner ...
He emptied the bottom of his glass and took leave of his mother. On the landing of the second floor, he stopped in front of Mary noel . She was her sister's friend and she was just a teenager when he was already a student. Today, she herself was a beautiful twenty-year-old student.
-How are you, doll? Said Terence Delors, taking both hands in an affectionate gesture.
They gave each other the usual three kisses. Naturally, he managed to put the third on the lips of the young woman.
- I'm fine, she replied.
- How's college going?
- Strikes from time to time, but this is nothing new for students in ivory coast . I was lucky enough to be admitted to the second year from the first session; it gives me some time to distract myself ...
- Congratulations! Here, I invite you, we will go for a bite to eat and then dance, this is my way of encouraging you to continue studying well at the start of the next school year ...
- That's nice thanks ! The young woman cheerfully exclaimed.
Terence Delors hugged him and they went downstairs together. His mother, watching his departure through the window, saw him arm in arm with Marie-Noëlle. She shook her head in despair as she told herself that once again her advice had fallen on deaf ears.
The occasional couple jumped into a taxi and went to Maximin Miézan, in Deux-plateaux. He was Terence Delors' best friend. He taught economics and accounting at a large school, he was also on vacation. Maximin lived with Prisca, his fiance and both were very happy with the visit of their mutual friend.
Terence Delors introduced them to Mary noel as his future wife. Prisca secretly pinched him and they giggled. They all knew that this sentence meant absolutely nothing, because Terence Delors was thus presenting all his conquests.
The two couples chatted for a few moments in a nice atmosphere, then they went to 331 aboard Maximin's Peugeot 206. It was Terence Delors who invited. His savings in Euro, converted into CFA franc made enough money to spend in Java.
The evening was beautiful and they were full of enthusiasm. After dinner, they went to Madison Palace to dance. The DJ was a friend of Terence Delors who gave him many atalakoun (Praise); which literally seduced Mary noel. The quartet had a blast there.
It was around three in the morning that they left the nightclub. Maximin dropped off Terence Delors and Mary noel at Angré and they said goodbye at the bottom of the building.
Mary noel did not ask herself too many questions. She knew perfectly well what would happen to the young man. He had spent the evening whispering very tempting proposals to her with caresses in support. And she was receptive, willing. As a little girl, she was already in love with this friend of her big cousin. But at the time, he couldn't notice her, since all the big girls in the neighborhood were chasing him. Thank God, today that he was interested in her, she was going to try her luck.
In the pretty, beautifully furnished studio, Terence Delors turned on the Bang & OK if u send brand mini-system. It was a great device with a fascinating design that he brought back from Paris. He introduced Sonia Dersion's CD and languid, crystal-sound music invaded the room. The subdued light diffused by a bedside lamp with a green shade created a sensual and romantic atmosphere.
- Will you give me one last dance? Asked Terence Delors, hugging Mary noel.
-With pleasure ! she said, putting her arms around his neck.
They lasciviously took a few steps, intertwined with each other. The next minute, they were kissing passionately. Then Terence Delors lifted the young woman in his arms and carried her to the bed. They kissed again while unraveling each other and they were love with that burning fury engendered by the contact of two bodies which are discovered. It was good, without promises, without commitment, without a plan for the future ... Without unnecessary "I love you", but with passion ...
The next day, they said goodbye in all friendship and Terence Delors left for Yamoussoukro.
