Once I start, I can't stop talking. It feels wonderful to get it all out of my system. I tell them everything. The stuff Rachael told me when we first met, nasty things she said that made me throw the vase at her, how I found the letter, the conversation between me and J before I left. Phew. I spoke forever.
When I stop, Mel is in tears and Sam is too worried to speak I think.
"Aww Angie.. I'm sorry." Mel cries and hugs me tight.
Sam hugs me too.
"I understand what you were going through. But never, never hesitate to share anything with us. And don't ever f*****g leave the way you did. Getting wasted alone is neither safe nor sensible. Call me, I'll join you next time, okay?" Sam says warmly.
