'You know I'm regretting now that I told you' I said ‘Can you stop pestering me madame’ I sighed as she threw her hand in surrender and slumped onto the bed. I slugged into the closet to choose an outfit for my date tonight which is why I called my gist vampire over to pick a dress and do my makeup but instead she is interested in something else and devouring that poor chicken making a mess on my sheets.

'Anita'. I called for my friend while looking at the mirror. ‘Don't you think this dress is too revealing?’ I said while caressing my hand on my open thighs. 'b***h! Are you kidding me? Look at that! If you are not my best friend and the fact that I have a girlfriend, I would do you right now!. You are beautiful babes and if Darrien doesn't see that tonight and every other day then he is a fool'.

I smiled at myself and caressed the necklace my mind taking me back to yesternight

‘Turn around Dahlia, I won’t say it again’ Malachi said in a low tone

‘You do not tell me what to do’ I looked up at him

‘Still so stubborn’ he grumbled

‘Don’t you have to go home and play the dutiful husband’ I eyed his wedding band in disgust.

‘Oh my’ he touched his chest in jest ‘I thought we weren't close enough ‘ he said mimicking my earlier outburst. His gaze left my face and went down my body and stopping on my chest and I was instantly self-aware of what I was wearing

‘You perv!’ I covered my chest with my hands

‘It’s not like I haven't seen it before’ he closed the gap between us as I moved back until I was backing the car leaving me no space, he turned me around and I could feel his fingers grazing my neck slowly and calculated.

‘Happy birthday my Dahlia’ he whispered in my ear as I shuddered in his touch

‘Please Mal, just go’ I pleaded ‘I have my life figured out and you aren't in my plans’ I cried silently.

‘Unfortunately, I’m back baby’ He said and walked to his car zooming off leaving me a hot confused mess

‘Um…. Earth to Ama!’ My friend snaps her fingers in my face and I jolt back to reality ‘Who or what got you daydreaming girl, you were smiling like that time you had a crush on Jason in high school’ She said as she unplugged the curler and it was then I noticed she had finished curling my hair. Damn you Malachi. ‘I wasn't smiling’ I said slowly.

‘Are you wearing the necklace Kai gave you to a date with your boyfriend Ama?'. I rolled my eyes and turned to look at her. ‘You are the one having dirty thoughts about the necklace slut’ I said while wearing my earrings. Today is all about me I said to myself. Yeah, keep telling yourself that till you believe it My phone went off with a notification and I picked it from where it was lying on the bed i smiled when I realized who sent the message

Darrien: I'm downstairs baby

‘He is here’. I told my friend while carrying my black Hermes bag. 'Have fun girlfriend and enjoy your post-birthday dinner whatevs’ she said as she pecked me on the cheek ‘You look like a whole course meal baby’ she spanked my ass lightly as I closed the door to my room and headed downstairs.

'Oh my world, you look stunning baby'. Darrien said while staring at me lovingly. He closed the gap between us and kissed me lightly on my lips. 'Baby, can we just skip the dinner reservation. I can't wait to tear this dress off you’ He whispered. ‘D! Stop’ I chuckled nervously while looking around to check if I was the only one who heard that.

'Here baby'. He handed me the rose flowers opening the letter attached to the flowers. 'I'm so sorry for forgetting your birthday yesterday please forgive your stupid D'. I smiled as I stared the flowers down. I have mentioned it countless times that I don't like roses and it's not my favorite flower at all.

Handing the flower to Anita, ‘Please help me put these flowers in the vase’ I rolled my eyes and Anita understood instantly Um Darrien, maybe next time you should get something else instead of roses. You know to make it interesting’ She said as she went back upstairs to the room.

'Can you stop being loud lovebirds I'm trying to have a quiet time here'. I nearly jumped in shock on hearing the voice I wasn't expecting to be here. 'Malachi! i didn't know you were here in our house, I thought Ava was coming back from her trip today'. I asked Malachi as i feel uncomfortable with his piercing gaze on my neck. What the hell is he doing here? I shifted uncomfortably under Darrien’s hand over my waist.

He just stared at me with no reply and disappeared to wherever he appeared from 'weirdo' I said rolling my eyes. ‘Can we go now D?’ I snaked my hands through his arm as we went outside to his car after opening the door, I felt my phone vibrate in my bag and I reached to see who it was hoping it was Reid message as I texted him hours ago that I won't be coming home tonight but i was shocked at the content of the message and it's sender.

Malachi: Ava's flight got delayed.

Mother of God! I locked my phone and put it back into my bag.
