I picked Papa’s favorite restaurant, Tocca. My parents both love Italian food kahit na wala naman kaming lahing Italian. It’s an upscale restaurant so we dressed up.
“What would you like to have, Ma?”
“I’ll have the Romanesco. I haven’t had it in a long time. What about you, sweetheart?” tanong niya kay Papa.
“I’ll have the Ricotta Gnocchi Carbonara.”
“I’ll have the same. Thank you.”
How long has it been since the three of us dined together? Too long ago. I remember telling them in the middle of dinner that I was pregnant. At nang tanungin ako ni Papa kung sino ang ama ay hindi ko masabi sa kanya.
