A week passed by and we went on with our usual routine. Each day that passed made it harder and harder for me to enjoy my time with Chloe and CJ.
“Why are you all dressed up?”
Chloe woke up before me and she’s already dressed. Naabutan ko s’yang nagkakape sa kusina habang ako ay nakasuot pa ng pajama at hindi pa nagsusuklay.
“Good morning.” Tumayo si Chloe at humalik sa pisngi ko. “I’ll get you some coffee. Maupo ka na d’yan.”
I did what I was told and waited. I like my coffee black and Chloe knew it.
“Where’s CJ?”
“Nagbibihis na. He already had his cereal.” Inilapag ni Chloe ang kape sa harap ko at saka tumabi sa akin. “You don’t look happy. Nanaginip ka ba?” Pumaikot ang isang braso niya sa baywang ko.
