26. Lacking Confidence

**Nate**     I decided to take the first shift with Sam.  Willow and Piper were drained beyond exhaustion and needed their rest.  Everyone else settled down for the night (besides those taking shifts for patrols) while I sat on a chair beside Sam's bed.  There were a few moments when I heard him grumble or try to speak in his sleep, but when I placed my hand on his arm to let him know that I was there for him, he settled back down again.  I was left with strict times by Willow for pain meds and followed that to a T.       I used this time to think about everything that had been happening lately, and I couldn't help but feel responsible for all of it.  If it wasn't for me, the pack would still be back home in the forest, living as happily as ever.  Peter would still be with us, and Sam wo
