We returned to camp to find it already torn down and almost ready to leave. Shadow as well as a few of her warriors were working on a grave just into the woods as Peter had been her mentor. The loss was hitting everyone pretty hard and I didn’t know what to do or say. Instead, I gently placed him on the ground and went to help Shadow. Aspen had her hands full with everyone as Peter had been liked by all and added comfort to whoever needed it while Luca found himself relieved to see his mates again and didn’t leave their side. He also kept a close eye on our guest. I overheard him saying that he was sorry he couldn’t do anything more to save our friend, but I tuned him out as I worked on digging.
