It was decided. Paul would break this story, and he would do it on his own.
Boulder hung up the phone and walked toward Paul with a smile on his face.
“Good news,” said Boulder. “Our men have Brian Gleckman in custody.”
“In custody?” asked Paul.
“Well, we’re holding him until tomorrow,” explained Boulder. “We don’t want him skipping town, or anything. We’ll hand him over to the authorities when we hand over all the others.”
“But technically, that’s kidnaping,” said Paul, beginning to tense up with alarm.
“Depends upon how you look at it. We made a citizen’s arrest for knowingly and willingly smuggling dangerous materials through Indian lands. By now the goods are on our property somewhere. That makes him a criminal.”
Paul took a deep breath. This was getting very touchy.
