Time for the puppy eyes

I heard Apollo almost whisper to me through our mind-link.

I’m not sure if it’ll work, this time Ollie. But hell, we can give it a go.

We smirked at each other, before raising our heads and turning on our best puppy face.

“Oh no! That will not work today, you two!

Stop!”

We didn’t falter, we simply moved forward, letting out little whines that only a mother would fall for.

A growl and a hmmpf came from our mother as she spoke again, “ Alright, alright, fine. Just get ready and get your butts downstairs. Breakfast is ready.”

Apollo and I had won.

Told you, it’d work.

Yeah, yeah, I know Ollie. I think it was my wavering bottom lip that did it.

Nah, it was my wiggle of the eyebrows.

We both burst out laughing, as we proceeded to get dressed.

Hera POV

It’s coronation day, their birthday and the day that they meet their mates! Well, hopefully. I think that is what they both need, to have the final push, to grow up.

I love my children, they are both strong, independent, alphas. One will lead our pack, and the other will, hopefully, lead another pack, of their mates. They still haven’t told us of the decision they have made.

We have allowed them to make that decision themselves. Who will be having their coronation today and lead the pack. The other to wait for their mate and future pack. I hate the idea of one of my babies leaving this pack, but I suppose it is how it is meant to be.

I sit before my vanity mirror, deciding to redo my hair. Thoughts pouring through my mind as I stare at my reflection. Both the children carry similarities to Cronos and I. Accalia carries my petite nose and green eyes, whilst she has Cronos’ black hair, complete with beautiful curls. Apollo has my blonde hair and soft features, with Cronos’ square jaw and blue eyes.

They had both grown so much and were truly beautiful people, both inside and out. Whichever chose to lead this pack, would bring joy and strength to us. I just hope the other, is content with the decision.
