Accalia POV
My wolf is excited today, she can’t wait to get out and run. I’m pleased father has given us this time, otherwise I think both mine and Apollo’s wolves would be going crazy.
“Race?”
I looked up at Apollo, with a wide grin on my face, hell yeah.
In a flash we were out the kitchen door and heading to the woods, shedding our clothes as we went. Hopping behind a bush, I removed the last items of clothing and embraced the cool air against my skin. My wolf whined with impatience, begging me to let her out. Alright, alright, let’s go. I let the shift occur, turning my body from human to wolf in seconds. I stretched out on the forest floor, shaking my beautiful black fur out and feeling free.
*hhhhhhooooowwwwwllllll*
I lifted my head to the sound of Apollo’s howl and returned the call, leaping out from behind the bush. Apollo was nowhere to be seen. Ooh we are playing hide and seek first, are we? I stilled and began to sniff the air for his scent, it was faint but I could tell the direction he was in. I carefully paced forward, making no sound as my soft, large paws padded along the ground. Following my brothers scent, I came to a clearing. It was beautiful and our favourite place to hang out. I knew he’d come here, so predictable. Scouting the area, I couldn’t see him anywhere. I crept along the edges, keeping myself hidden in the foliage. He must be here somewhere, his scent covered the place.
*Snap*
I flicked my head to the left to investigate the sound, when a large black blur pounced on top of me. We rolled over one another, landing in defensive stances, growling.
Gotcha!
Apollo sniggered through mind-link.
Dick.
I replied with a huff. I turned my back on him, whipping my tail in his face, before bounding off into the forest once more. I ran at a steady pace, hearing Apollo following close behind.
Where we going sis?
I’m not sure, just following my paws.
We carried on, through the forest until we reached a river, close to our western border. Crouching down, I sniffed the area for unfamiliar scents before lapping up a much needed drink of water. Apollo crouched down beside me and did the same.
Sooo... any reason we stopped here Alia?
Really don’t know bro, wolf wanted here, so we’re here. Something is up with her today.
Really? Mine too. He seems really pent up for some reason.
Weird.
I stared into the fresh water running by my paws, wondering if it was just because we were stressed or something else.
We better head back, we’ve been out here longer than I thought.
Glancing at Apollo, I stood and stretched again.
You owe me a race bro.
With that a kept forward, bounding back towards the pack house. I’ve always been faster than him, so I don’t know why he bothers. He is stronger, in a sense, but my agility will never be beaten.
Panting, I came to to stop at the edge of the forest, looking over my shoulder for Apollo. No sign of him. Weird. He’s not normally that slow.
Apollo? Where are you slow poke?
ACCALIA! ROGUES!
Shit.
