Apollo

Apollo POV My sister is annoying. It’s a fact. She knows just how to rile me up and get my wolf angry. She doesn’t seem to understand that my wolf is determined to be the Alpha and force her to submit. I have to fight my own wolf, just to be friends with her, sometimes. After our little play fight this morning, I had to get dressed and get out. She had pushed my wolf too far and if mother hadn’t interrupted, it would have soon turned to a real fight. Accalia and I are super close, I suppose being twins helps with that! People do think it’s weird that we are so close, hell, I think it’s weird sometimes! We spend all our time together and always have. We went to school together, had the same classes, went to lunch together, came home together, trained and had the same friends. We were one in the same. Hell, we still shared a bedroom, much to our parents disapproval. We allowed each other to have privacy and had separate bathrooms (That was my decision, she takes to long in their)! Other than that, we were always together. That’s why, I am beginning to fear the future. We soon will be Alphas and meet our mates, which surely will pull us apart. We have heard the stories about how your mate becomes your only priority and some wolves push their closest friends away. I won’t allow it though. My mate and Accalias mate will just have to deal with the fact that we are close siblings. Even if we end up miles apart. “Apollo? You ok? You’ve been stood staring into space for 15 minutes!” Blinking and shaking my head, I look over at my sister. She might be annoying but I still love her and obviously she loves me back, seeing the worry in her eyes. “Sorry sis, just thinking about the future.” Accalia moves towards me and embraces me in a warm hug. “It’s ok bro, no matter the future, we still got each other. No matter what.” No matter what. Exactly. I grin at her and give her a quick squeeze. “True. Anyway, we better get downstairs before mum kills us.” Race ya! Oh s**t, it’s on. I spun and lunged for the door, Alia slid through my legs and got in front. Oh hell no. I pushed my body to run faster, jumping down the stairs three at a time. Alia reaches the bottom first, but slipped on the rug. HA! This is my chance. I threw myself done the remaining stairs, knocking into her as she regained her footing. Not this time Alia I sprinted towards the dining room doors, pushing with all my might. I could taste the victory, my fingers outstretched towards the handle. Yes! One more step. A blur of colour appeared in front of me. s**t. How!? We both burst through the door, landing ungraciously on the floor, panting heavily. Who won? Alia asked. I actually don’t know. I think we might have a draw. We both laughed and rolled over, pushing ourselves up. *growl* Alia and I both froze, hearing a low growl behind us, we glanced at one another and both gulped. A calm voice drifted from behind us, “Is that any way the future Alphas should be behaving?” We turned slowly and saw Mother and Father sat, staring at us. Father spoke again, “Sit down and eat.” We slowly moved forward and sat beside them, bowing our heads and not daring to speak a word. We may both be future alphas, but nobody held the power that father did and we respected that. “So, if you are quite finished with your foolish games, you must eat and listen. Today is your coronation, you must look presentable and approachable for the whole day. That means NO fighting. We have raised you both to be respectable adults, so you will act as such. We have many guests arriving today, who will wish to meet you. You have been emailed your plans and timesheets for the day, which have a strict schedule. You must adhere to this schedule for the full day, until the time of the moon rising and the beginning of the coronation. Do not disappoint me.” Alia glanced at me before straightening up and nodding her head to father, I quickly followed. With this, both mother and father let out a beautiful grin, “We are so proud of you both and love you dearly.” Tears sprang from mother’s eyes as she looked down at us. Father took her hand in his and escorted her away. This was it, the day when everything changes. Alia once again looked at me and gave me a small smile, before tucking into her breakfast. We would need our strength for today.
