Andy had five children, Gabriel, Chelsea, Jeremy, Sarah, and Zach, and he loved them more than he’d thought it was possible to love anyone. It was a love that was more than him, and he knew that when he was Jeremy’s age, he could never have understood what it meant to be a father.
Then there was his wife, whom he loved more now than he’d thought was ever possible. She was the center of his world, his children’s world, all of their worlds, and the only woman who could get him to see reason about anything, which was why he was walking through the hallway of the school and doing his best not to snarl at any of the jocks and seniors who were still lingering there, doing what guys that age did.
