Chapter Sixteen “What the hell is the matter with you?” Gabriel said. Jeremy hadn’t heard him step into the barn, where he was looking over Chelsea’s horse, a paint. He still didn’t understand why she had wanted it so badly. It was happier to just eat than be with the other horses, but the mare was one of calmest horses they owned. Nothing spooked her, and nothing excited her. The horse was also beyond slow. Gabriel leaned against the stall door beside him. He was wearing a faded white shirt on which the lettering was starting to fade, and he turned to face Jeremy, who had been standing by the stall gate, trying to figure out what to do, because he was still freaking out over what Tiffy had said.
