Chapter Twenty-Two “I’m back!” Jeremy took in Dorothy as she strode through the front door of the hardware store, pulling off sunglasses and sporting an incredible tan. “So tell me all the news. What did I miss?” she said. Cady glanced his way, as did Ruth, who was holding a box of metal hinges. “Well, Jeremy is getting married,” Ruth said, while Cady frowned, “and he has a son, a two-year-old son.” Dorothy glanced from him, to Ruth, to Cady. She stepped over closer, allowing her gaze to run from his head to his toes. “Wow, you move fast there, Friessen. When I said find yourself a girl, I didn’t mean shack up and have a kid.
