Caraline's Point of View

There was once a time when I could say my life was perfect. I had good friends, and my family was whole. So let me introduce myself.

Hey, I’m Caraline here’s a little bit about myself, so you know what you’re dealing with before you get too far into the book. I’m popular, almost always outspoken, I’m scared of a lot of things, and I have five close friends. Star is my best friend, I’d never think twice about telling her something, Lilly, we’re close, but I wouldn’t tell her things I think she could ever use against me, we keep Lilly around cause she’s our suck it up buttercup friend, Carder he’s super sweet and likes star, if I had a guy best friend, I also tell him everything, he’s like my brother, and everyone knows it, especially his best friend Zane, he’s nice, and I think he kinda likes me, I overheard him and carder get into an argument about it, Zane is the type of guy that gets anything he wants and gets away with everything, I don’t know how I feel about him yet, though, he’s the kind you daydream about in ways that freaks you out, most girls at our school obsess over him, and some would go to any measure to be with him, I kinda feel bad for poor carly, sorry really off track I realize I’ve only mentioned four friends I did that purposely, my last friend, and to be honest I don’t know if he’s my imagination, but actually, I'll let him tell you, but be careful he’s different.
