The room was freezing as the night air slipped into the room. I closed it softly before I heard a menacing growl behind me making me turn to find Rieka sitting up next to Ace who was sound asleep.
Her eyes sparkling oddly almost fluorescent in the darkness. “I was just checking them, I didn’t mean to startle you” She c***s her head to the side and I feel goosebumps rise on my skin an uneasy feeling coming over me with the way she stared.
