Rukia kuchki (From Pov)
Being a Soul Reaper, even one stationed in the Human World, is usually pretty straightforward. Hollows appear, we slice them, the cycle of souls continues. But lately, things had been… complicated. It all started with Uryū acting shifty, which is saying something, considering he's always been the mysterious type.
Turns out, he had a half-brother, Ynno, living right here in Karakura Town. And apparently, Ynno was attracting Hollows like crazy, thanks to some untapped spiritual power. Uryū, being the overprotective type, decided he needed to keep Ynno safe, but he couldn't do it alone. So, naturally, Ichigo, Orihime, Chad, and I got dragged into this whole secret operation.
We'd take shifts watching over Ynno, blasting any Hollows that got too close. He seemed like a nice kid, totally oblivious to the chaos around him. He was always sketching in this notebook, and he worked at a bookstore. A normal human life, for once.
But then things started to get weird. Ynno started acting distant, like he was lost in a dream. Orihime said she could sense a strange energy around him, something… familiar. And the Hollow attacks were getting more frequent, more intense. Something was definitely brewing.
One night, Uryū practically dragged us to Ynno's apartment. He said he felt a massive surge of spiritual energy, something he'd never encountered before. We burst through the door, ready for a fight, and found Ynno standing in front of this creepy antique mirror. The mirror was glowing, and Ynno looked… different. Like he was seeing something we couldn't.
And then he showed up. Captain Kuchiki Byakuya. My adoptive brother. Stoic, unreadable, and about as likely to show up in the Human World as a Hollow in the Soul Society. What was he doing here?
"What is the meaning of this?" Ichigo demanded, his hand gripping his Zanpakuto.
Byakuya ignored him, his eyes fixed on Ynno. He looked… haunted. "It cannot be," he murmured, his voice barely audible. "But the resemblance is undeniable."
Resemblance? To whom? My mind raced. What was going on?
That's when Ynno turned around, and I swear, for a split second, it wasn't Ynno anymore. There was a grace, an elegance, a familiarity that sent a chill down my spine. And his eyes… they held a sadness that mirrored a pain I knew all too well.
"Byakuya," Ynno said, his voice soft, almost a whisper. "It's been so long."
My breath caught in my throat. That voice… that presence… it couldn't be.
I knew about my late sister, Hisana. Byakuya rarely spoke of her, but I knew how deeply he loved her. Her death had left a void in his heart that no one could fill. But what did she have to do with Ynno?
Could it be possible? Could Ynno be… a reincarnation? The thought seemed absurd, impossible. But looking at Byakuya's face, at the shock and disbelief in his eyes, I couldn't dismiss it.
This wasn't just some random Hollow attack. This was something far more profound, something that connected Ynno to Byakuya, to the Soul Society, and to a past that I thought was long buried.
And I had a feeling that whatever was about to happen, it was going to change everything we thought we knew about life, death, and the bonds that connect us all.
Orihime Inoue (Her POv)
Okay, so, lately things have been feeling… well, a little heavy. I mean, I'm used to seeing spirits and helping Ichigo fight Hollows, but this was different. It started when Uryū-kun was acting even more serious than usual (which is saying something!). He was always disappearing, and when I asked him about it, he just got this faraway look in his eyes.
Eventually, Ichigo-kun managed to get the story out of him. Apparently, Uryū-kun has a half-brother, Ynno-kun, and he's been secretly protecting him from Hollows. Apparently, Ynno-kun has a lot of spiritual power, which makes him a target. So, of course, Ichigo-kun, Rukia-chan, Chad-kun, and I all decided to help out.
We'd take turns keeping an eye on Ynno-kun, making sure no Hollows got too close. He seemed like a really sweet person, always smiling and sketching in his notebook. He worked at a bookstore, and he seemed to really love books. He was always so kind and polite, it made me want to protect him even more!
But then things started to feel… strange. Ynno-kun started acting a little distant, like he was lost in his own world. And I could sense this really strong, but also really sad, energy coming from him. It was like… he was remembering something, but he didn't know what it was.
And the Hollows! They were getting stronger and more frequent. It was like they were being drawn to Ynno-kun, like he was a beacon. I was starting to get really worried.
Then, one night, Uryū-kun rushed us to Ynno-kun's apartment. He said he felt a huge surge of spiritual energy, something he'd never felt before. We burst through the door, ready to fight, and found Ynno-kun standing in front of this really old, creepy-looking mirror. The mirror was glowing, and Ynno-kun… he looked like he was in a trance.
And then… Captain Kuchiki Byakuya showed up! I was so surprised, I almost forgot to breathe! What was he doing here? He's so powerful and important, it was hard to imagine him coming all the way to the Human World.
"What is the meaning of this?" Ichigo-kun asked, his hand on his sword.
But Captain Kuchiki didn't even look at him. He was staring at Ynno-kun, his eyes wide with… something. I couldn't quite tell what it was, but it was definitely something strong.
"It cannot be," Captain Kuchiki murmured, his voice barely audible. "But the resemblance is undeniable."
Resemblance? To who? I was so confused!
Then, Ynno-kun turned around, and for a moment, it wasn't Ynno-kun anymore. There was this incredible grace and beauty, and his eyes… they were filled with so much sadness, it made my heart ache.
"Byakuya," Ynno-kun said, his voice soft and gentle. "It's been so long."
I gasped. What was going on? Who was this woman that I was seeing in Ynno-kun's eyes? And why did Captain Kuchiki look so… heartbroken?
I didn't understand what was happening, but I knew that it was something big. Something that was going to change everything. And I had a feeling that whatever it was, it was going to be both beautiful and incredibly sad. I just hoped that we could protect Ynno-kun, no matter what.
