Stand Strong

A little girl of 5 years was sitting in a graveyard looking at one particular grave. After few mins she move forward and she lay down beside the grave while saying "mom, why you went away from me, you know it is terrible to stay here without you. You know when you were here with me dad used to love me but now he hates me, he bought me a new mother but she always beats me. I even tried to complain to dad but he always lash out on me. Please come back mom for me for your baby love".

The little girl walked back to her home she opened the main door and pushed her head ahead to see if anyone is there, but to her good luck no one was there. So she entered inside but she have taken only two steps when a voice reached her ear making her stop at her place and sweat came on her forehead. "Where the hell were you little b***h? Didn't i tell you not to step out from your room till i ask you to?" the little girl shivered with the intensity of the voice and tried to voice out. "i.... i..." "what i? let me show you your place." and the lady dragged her upstairs while the girl started to cry.

Once they reached the second floor the lady opened the door of one room and pushed the girl inside and locked the door. "This is your place miss Elizabeth Evans. This is your place." As the door got locked Elizabeth looked at her surroundings and let out a small chuckle. She then stood up from the place and sat near the window on the floor and looked out to see the wind blowing when after some time she fall asleep there only. Elizabeth woke up with a voice she opened her eyes to see the light which was coming from the window is no more. She turned her gaze on the other side to see a small amount of light was coming from under the door. She huffed and stood up walking two steps she picked up a thing from the table and turned it on to see it was a torch. she the took out another thing and again sat on the previous place and put the thing in front of the torch. It was a teddy Elizabeth smiled looking at it and said "you know gummy bear why i have hide you here in this room? no? Ok let me tell you. Aunt gave me punishment by locking me up here and you know i had no one with whom i could talk so i have hide you here. I know it is dark but don't worry i won't let you get afraid look now even i'm not afraid". saying this Elizabeth passed a smile to gummy bear.

It was later evening when the door of the room got opened. Elizabeth hurriedly hide the teddy and turned to see her step mother standing at the door. Elizabeth gulped hardly and stood up when her step mother said "Come down Harry is gonna come back and dare you say a word to her." Elizabeth nodded and walked beside her step mother silently. when they reached the living room both of them listened the voice from the main door "Margret honey i'm home." Margret looked at Elizabeth one last time and moved ahead to see Harry. Elizabeth stood there looking her father and her step mother hugging each other and he buzzing her forehead with a kiss. Both of them reached the living room and sat on the couches when Harry looked at Elizabeth and said "Liz why are you standing there come and sit" Elizabeth looked at Margret for on time and sat on the couch, she remained silent listening the duo talking ignoring her completely.

After the dinner, Elizabeth walked to her room and laid down holding her mother's frame close to her heart. Her eyes were close when the door got opened and she listen "Harry i know you love her, even i do, but being a mother i know that will be best for her, let her go she will be happy , here she will be suffocated. At the hostel at least she will be able to make friends there" "i think you are right honey, ok then i will talk to the principle tomorrow." And the next thing Elizabeth heard was the door closing. After she was sure that no was there she sat on the bed holding the picture and mumbled "No dad i won't go there, no."

it was 3 am when the door of the Evan's opened and a little girl came out of the house wearing a bag pack and a hoodie covering her face. After closing the door. the girl looked on the sides and then started to walk towards the right side. after 20 mins she reached outside the grave yard and then talking out a torch from her bag and walked inside the grave yard and reaching to a particular grave and taking out the bag pack from her bag she laid down beside the grave and put her one hand on the grave and slept.

Elizabeth woke up with the sunlight, she sat on the ground rubbing her eyes with the back of her hands when she listened a voice "What are you doing here my child?" Elizabeth looked above to see an old man standing there. Elizabeth looked at the grave and said "This is my mom's grave, so i came to her." the old man smiled at her and placed his hand on her head and said "go home child, your family will be waiting for you" "i have no family" came her reply making the man shocked and he went away while Elizabeth sat the looking at her mom's grave.

The whole day went with Elizabeth looking around to the people, talking to her mother and her gummy bear, she being hungry plucked the apples from the tree beside the grave. Even the old man again came to see the little girl still sitting beside the grave.
