I stood frozen, heat spreading across my face as Reis looked at me with clear confusion.
He was always quick to read a situation, but right now he seemed completely lost.
His grip on my hand tightened, and his tone turned urgent." Aria, what do you need? Just tell me, I'll handle it."
"I…" My voice shook as I forced the words out. "I got my period, and I don't have anything with me."
For a second, silence filled the room. Reis blinked like the words had short-circuited his brain.
Then the moment passed.
His expression steadied, and he cleared his throat.
"Okay. Got it. I'll go get what you need. Just stay here and rest."
