"You're going yourself, Alpha Damien?" Oscar's eyes went wide with shock. He quickly tried to talk sense into him. "Alpha, you shouldn't go. Your own mating ceremony starts in just over an hour.The place is too far. It would take at least an hour just to get there. You'd miss your ceremony!"
"Let's go. Whether I make it back in time is my problem. Stop wasting time talking!" Alpha Damien gave his assistant a hard look that made Oscar's wolf cringe, then walked fast toward the back exit.
In the courtyard, pack members and allied Alphas talked and laughed.
At the main entrance, Alpha Kane and Luna Vivienne welcomed the arriving pack Alphas.
Oscar hurried after Alpha Damien. His heart raced as they moved toward the secret exit behind the garden.
