  Aria's POV   Sunlight slipped through a crack in the thick curtains, drawing a pale line across the carpet. When I opened my eyes, the world outside was already wide awake.   The air still carried a warm, intimate scent, as if the night's heat hadn't fully faded.   The other side of the bed was empty.   The pillow was cold.   I tried to sit up, but pain rushed through me so sharply I almost fell back.   My whole body ached, every muscle sore, and I had to lean against the headboard just to breathe.
