CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE The bonfire's embers glow like a beacon for the wandering souls of the night, casting a veil of twilight over the pack's festivities. The air hums with the remnants of laughter and howls, but my skin prickles with an electricity that isn't just from the charged atmosphere. Across the clearing, Kyle stands tall and proud, his brown eyes finding mine in the crowd. "Everyone," he calls out, his voice carrying over the dying chatter. A hush falls over the pack as all eyes turn to him. My heart races; it's been doing that a lot since he returned, five years absent and now here, as if no time passed at all. He steps forward, and I can feel every gaze flicker between us. "I want to say something, now that the harsh winter is over and our pack is thriving as it is meant to."
