Edward stared at her for a complete moment. With a sudden shift in his eyes, he quickly turned the steering wheel in his hands. "Sit back down and don’t make any more sudden moves."
The white car in the back had been tailing them for a long time and he just started to have an inkling of what he should do next. Seeing Dorothy react so hastily made him lose all patience.
The car behind saw Edward suddenly make a turn and quickly changed course as well. Edward proceeded to step on the gas pedal in an attempt to outrun the car behind him. Edward saw that it was still on his trail no matter what he did, so his arm jerked to turn the steering wheel again. He parked the car across the road and motioned for Dorothy to get out of the vehicle quickly.
