Teasing Skye wasn’t my plan at all, but as soon as those emerald, wide-opened eyes looked at me, I couldn’t help but tease her.
But it went out of hand in no time.
Skye couldn’t speak, but her eyes were the most expressive ones.
Every emotion crossing them urged me to pull her into my embrace.
And I almost kissed her, thanks to Fenrir.
“She is too adorable to resist, and she is ours. What’s wrong with kissing my mate?” Fenrir chided, glaring hard at me, still mad about not kissing her.
“She is scared of us, Fenrir. Didn’t you see that?” I asked him while stepping inside the shower cubicle.
I sucked in a breath when the mixed scent of vanilla and gardenia hit my nostrils.
She took the shower earlier, and her scent was still lingering in the air.
