Chapter Five: IntermissionShe wakes on a bed that is unfamiliar to her and that shouldn't surprise her, except it's not the same unfamiliar bed as the day before. This one is colorful, opulent. The whole room is vibrant with color and feels immediately welcoming.
She is awake because of light streaming in from the floor to ceiling window that spans throughout the entire wall. There is a door that opens out to the balcony.
She sits up when she catches sight of a gift basket by her bed with a paper taped to the front. She snatches it up and starts reading it straight away, heart pounding in her chest, confused by what's happening.
