Nathaniel appeared on top of the stairs and saw the awkward atmosphere around Lowell and the girl.
“What are you doing there?”
Lowell looked up at the stairs where he was and shook his head.
“Nothing really.”
Nathaniel paused for a moment before changing the topic.
“Where are the free rooms in this house?”
Lowell walked up towards Nathaniel to show him the rooms that were not being used. Meanwhile, Nathaniel looked over at the girl and motioned for her to follow them.
As they made their way towards the rooms, Lowell broke the silence between the three of them.
“I don’t think we are close enough to ask how the two of us have been in the past few weeks. But I hope to know the things that happened to you.”
