It's Not All Roses

Prologue

All she could do was cry because they were no other way out, she could have told Richard the whole truth but if she should that means he will be dead and that was the last thing she needed.

"I am sorry Alexander I know that we promised each other that we will hide anything from each other but I had to hide the truth about my entire life and I am so sorry for that."

Cassandra's thoughts got interrupted when she heard her phone ring. She reached for the phone and picked the call.

Are you going to leave or do you want me to insert three bullets into your husband's head?

No, I am going to leave soon but please I need you to keep your word, you must not harm Alexander after I leave.

You don't call shots here if I want to kill your husband I will do just that.

Please, Mark, I will do anything..

Wow, you really love your husband so much but unfortunately that my dear step sister I don't care about that.

You know that I really love it when you are in agony, Cassandra.

No, you are going to have to suffer b***h because you are a murder.

Immediately the call got disconnected.

"My God!"

"Why did you put me in such a difficult position! If I tell Alexander about Mark, he will lose his life and that is something that I can't risk."

She closed her eyes tightly before touching her stomach; she was going to have to commit a huge sin just to save her husband's life, but she had no other choice; she was going to have to leave Alex and also separate a father from his child.

"I wanted to tell you I was pregnant, but I can't do that." Cassandra cried out, "I am so sorry, my love."

Cassandra packed her luggage before leaving a note for Alexander, she kept the note in the empty cupboard but she did not close the cupboard, hopefully he will check the cupboard when he comes back home.

"Guys come in." Alexander said.

Alexander had invited his best friends over to celebrate because he was going to win the Best Business Man of the year for the fourth time in a row.

"Congratulations Alex." Kelvin said before siting down on a sofa. "But where is the woman behind the success.?"

"She should be around or is she getting ready to you know get laid with you." Derek teased.

"Stop that now you are talking about my wife." Alexander warned.

"Sorry lover boy." Derek laughed

Alexander just rolled his eyes.

"Cassandra!" Alexander called out. "Cassandra where are you?"

But there was no response!

"Where is Cassandra?" Kevin asked

"She should be at home." Alexander replied. "You guys should carry on discussing I will get her."

"Okay." the two friends chorused

Alexander left his friends so he could search for Cassandra, he searched the kitchen, gym, office, he literally searched everywhere except from his bedroom.

Alex you are so dumb, she complained that she was feeling dizzy this morning, maybe she is in the room resting.

He rushed to the bedroom to check on his wife, but what he saw left him shocked; the bedroom was in a mess; the cupboard was open, pictures were lying everywhere, but Cassandra was not there.

Where is she?

He arranged the entire room before looking for his wife but the open cupboard got his attention because he wanted to know why Cassandra will leave her cupboard open but what he saw left him dumbstruck; the cupboard was empty, all her belongings gone, it was vacant which means only one thing.

"No." he stood harshly.

"Cassandra Lambton, where are you?" he yelled out before banging his hands into the cupboard .

His heart was broken into pieces and it was all because of one woman and his name was Cassandra. He could not believe that she left him. Every memory they shared hunted him. She was the only girl that won his heart, the only one he wanted to see every day, but now his heart was broken.

"Where was I wrong, what did I that pushed her to this extent?" he questioned brokenly he got on his knees.

Kelvin and Derek rushed to his room immediately they heard his screams.

"What happened?" Kelvin asked.

"What happened and why is blood gushing out of your hands." Derek questioned.

"She left me guys." Alexander muttered.

"Who left you?" both friends chorused

"Cassandra left me."

"What?"

"She packed her luggage and left."

"How are you sure?" Kevin asked

Alex pointed to the empty cupboard.

"Where are her things?" Derek asked

"They are gone, forever."

Both friends did not believe it so they tried her number but instated of hearing her voice what they heard was a voice that said the number does not exist.

"She is gone guys."
