AVELINA’S POV The cellar is colder than usual. I step out, the night air hitting my face. The guards didn’t realize i had sneaked out as they were busy arguing amongst themselves about the latest update and Allessandro’s fate. I walked through the garden and into the forest behind the house,The fog follows me like a thought i can’t seem to set down. Orlando’s compound is in ruin. Two of his men take my coat and walk me through the door where Orlando sits in low light, whiskey in one hand and a pistol in the other. His smile was broader than a man who just won the lottery. “So the devil’s bride accepted my invitation after all. You must be hungry for the truth.” He says, taking a sip from his glass. “Are you been brave or just stupid?” “I came to know the truth. Not to be mocked.”
