My hands still against her throat, fingers pressing just slightly as if anchored there. Those ice-blue eyes narrow, studying her with an intensity that makes her breath catch. A ghost of a smile — dark, possessive — touches the corner of my mouth. "Who am I?" I repeat slowly, my voice that dangerous silk-over-steel she is beginning to recognize. My thumb traces along her jawline, tilting her face higher so the firelight catches every flicker of fear in her eyes. "I’m the man who's watched you for months, little dove. The one who memorized every habit, every smile you gave to a stranger who didn't deserve it." I leaned in closer, my scent wrapping around her like a cage. "I'm Jay Taylor. And you—" my other hand tightens possessively on her waist, pulling her flush against me, "You're mine now. My obsession. My possession. The only thing in this world that matters." My lips ghost along her temple, breath warm against her skin as I continue in that low, controlled tone. "I've built empires in the shadow, Sugar. Take what others couldn't. But you..." I pull back just enough to capture her gaze again, and there's something raw beneath the dominance — hunger, need, something almost vulnerable. "You weren't supposed to become this. But here we are." My hands slid from her throat to cup the back of her neck, holding her in place. " And now that I have you? I'm never letting you go.

Anne's heart started beating faster. I looked at him with big terrified eyes. I was afraid of this man who would never let me go. But at the same time, I was captivated by him. I wanted to seek refuge in his arms, but my head told me to fight back and flee. "Please, you can't do this to me," were the only words there came out of my mouth.

Her plea — those wide, terrified eyes looking up at me — makes something flicker across my face. Not remorse, but something darker, hungrier. My jaw tightens as my hand slides from her neck to cradle her face, thumb brushing over her trembling bottom lip with possessive tenderness. "Can't?" I asked. The word comes out low, almost amused, but there's steel beneath it. "Little dove, I've already done it. You're here. In my home. Wearing what I chose for you," my other hand traces down her side, feeling her through the silk nightgown, claiming every curve. "You became mine the moment I decided you were." I leaned in, my stubble jaw grazing her cheek as I spoke against her ear, voice dropping into that dangerous whisper. "I know you're scared. I know this isn't what you planned. But that life you had?" My fingers tightened slightly on her waist. "It was empty. Meaningless. I watched you walk through it like a ghost, sugar." I pulled back just enough to capture her gaze again, those ice-blue eyes burning with obsessive intensity. There's something almost tender in how I hold her, even as my words cage her tighter than any lock. "Here, you have purpose. You're everything to me. Protected. Cherished." My thumb stroked her cheek, catching the moisture gathering at the corner of her eye. "I'll give you the world, little dove. But you have to stop fighting. What we both know is inevitable." My grip gentled, and I guided her away from the wall toward the bed. "Now come. You need rest."
Anne
My brain is processing all the things he's told me. I refuse to bend and just do as i am told, even though I can feel it's like poking a bear. "You can decide that my life was meaningless!" I don't dare to resist physically, so I just accept how he touches me.
Jay
Her defiance — those words thrown at me like a challenge — makes something dangerous flash in my eyes. The gentleness evaporates instantly, replaced by cold, cutting authority. My hand shoots up to grip her jaw, fingers pressing into your cheeks hard enough to make her gasp, forcing her to meet my glacial stare. "Can't?" The word comes out like a whip crack, my voice dropping into that harsh, controlled growl that sends ice down her spine. "You think you have a say in this, sugar? You think your opinion matters right now?" I crowded her backward until her legs hit the edge of the bed, my body a wall of controlled fury. My grip on her jaw tightens, not quite bruising but close, my thumb pressing against her bottom lip with deliberate pressure. "I watched you," I continued, voice low and lethal. "For months." Saw you smile at baristas who didn't know your name. Laugh with friends who forgot you by Friday. Go home to an empty apartment and pretend it was enough." My other hand finds her throat, fingers splaying possessively across her pulse. "That wasn't living, little dove. That was surviving." My face is inches from hers now. "I gave you purpose. Meaning. Me," I griped gentlest fractionally, my thumb stroking her cheek even as my fingers remained firm on her throat. "So don't tell me what I can't decide."
Anne
I could see the obsession burning in those ice-blue depths — something twisted, consuming, utterly convinced of its own righteousness, when he said:"So don't tell me what I can't decide."
I tried again to get him to let me go. I know deep down that it's no use, but I can't just give up. "Please let me go!" I beg.
Jay
Hers Plea—soft, desperate — hangs in the air between you. For a moment, something flickers across my face. My grip on her throat and jaw loosens fractionally, but then his expression becomes intensity and returns like a storm rolling in. "Let you go?" I repeat, my voice dropping into something cold and final. My hand slides from her jaw to the back of her neck, fingers threading through her hair with possessive gentleness that contradicts the steel in my tone. "Back to what, little dove? That empty apartment? Those forgettable days?" I guided her down onto the bed with controlled force, following her down until I caged her beneath me, one knee between her tights, hands bracketing her head. The firelight catches the sharp planes of his face, that thin scar through his eyebrow, the dangerous beauty of him. "I've killed men for less than what you're asking," I murmur against her temple, his scent overwhelming her senses. "But you?" My lips brush her cheekbone, almost reverent. "I could never hurt you that way. Never let you disappear back into that meaningless life." My hand finds yours, threading her fingers together and pinning them beside her head — intimate, possessive, inescapable. "You're staying, sugar. This is your home now. With me. Where you belong
