I’ve been waiting for Kaden for three hours, and he still hasn’t shown up. My stomach was growling from hunger, but that was not my main concern. I really needed to talk to him to find out what was going on. What had he been up to?
I grabbed my shoulder bag, keys, and phone, then stormed out of his office and headed to the elevator. Lia mentioned that Kaden was still at his penthouse—the same place where he confessed his love for me, where we first made love, and the spot I’ve been eager to visit since I got to Manhattan.
When I arrived at his place, I went straight to the elevator and pressed the button for the 30th floor, ignoring the receptionist who was calling out to me.
