I decided to skip my class, so I could talk to Kaden. I needed to clear things up with him, share my perspective, and let him know that I’d be talking to my dad about not going through with the wedding and that nothing really happened between us.
After Shirley left my room, I quickly jumped in the shower and threw on a mint-green sundress with thin straps that hit just above my knees. My plan was to head back to our house right after I sorted things out with Kaden.
