As I was walking into the lobby, a sultry voice suddenly stopped me in my tracks. I shut my eyes tight for a moment before turning around to see who it was. "What do you want?" I asked.
"Miss Stone and her mother have been gone for about an hour," Lizzie said, flashing a bright smile.
"What?" I frowned. "And you didn’t even try to tell me?"
"You were in a meeting!" she replied, but before she could say anything else, I dashed toward the elevator, ignoring her calls for me to come back because I still had some documents to sign.
