I made sure to close the door of the bedroom where mom left it open after running away crying, and then I trudged towards the closet and drew out a fresh towel from it.
I crossed to the bathroom, careful not to wake Troy as he slept peacefully. Studying myself in the mirror, I smiled at the visage that was looking back at me. Although my eyes were puffy and swollen as a result of all the crying that I did last night, my skin was glowing. My eyes were beaming up, and there was a genuine smile plastered across my face. I looked exactly how I felt.
It was full of hopes and dreams.
