WE HEADED STRAIGHT for the forest after breakfast, with an air of enthusiasm buzzing through everyone. The previous day’s training and my achievement had been a hot topic. Apparently, nobody but Sean and Nathan expected me to pull it off, so I’d shocked the hell out of them—myself, too.
Uncomfortable with an audience while n***d, I sent everyone who didn’t need to be in the clearing packing. They’d never be so disrespectful as to openly ogle, but it had been bad enough with just Nathan.
Sucking in a few deep breaths, I kicked out my legs. Standing still and allowing Sean to bring forth a change was one thing—but running full out with a gammy hip, while concentrating on everything happening to my exhausted body, would be something else entirely.
