I helped Megan fully onto the bed and crawled in beside her, pulling the sheets up and around us with a snap.
“Raf?” she murmured.
“Yeah?”
“How’d you find me? And how’d you get here so fast?” She rolled over to face me.
I took her into my arms, loving the way she nestled into my chest. This was the woman who refused to cuddle. Who wanted me out of her bed and her house as soon as we’d both come.
I stroked her silky hair. “Kennedy tracked your phone, and Quincy flew me in the helicopter.”
“Wow. You guys really are a formidable team, aren’t you?”
“Yeah. We’ve dealt with insurgents and terrorists. Don’t be afraid of Burns or your dad. My team can handle them before breakfast.”
