Chapter 3-Charnelle

Nick’s P.O.V

“Seriously you are worried about going shopping now instead of what this crazy ass rogue wants with you? Girl I wonder about you at times.” Nick said to me as we pulled up into the enterance of the school.

“I’m pretty sure that he doesn’t really want anything probably just wants to talk about what happened today that’s all.”

“You sure are very optimistic about this Nelle, and I hope you are right though. Because I know the alphas’s are not very patient about all this secret stuff at all. They will want answers when we get back to your house.” Nick said parking the car near the back of the building.

“What book do we need to act like we came here to get because I told everyone science, do you have your science book in your car? I would need to get mines from my locker though. Yeah I know they will and they will get their answers just as soon as I get them.” I said walking behind Nick towards back of the school.

“I would also need to get mines as well, but where are we suppose to meet this rogue at anyway?”

“Can you just call him by his name please which is Travis ok, and we need to meet him at the field that is about 2 miles from that pond behind the school.”

“Fine I will call him by his name. Now let’s hurry up please.”

“Sure either we can walk to the field or we can shift into our wolves.” I asked Nick.

“Shifting would be a lot quicker then walking plus we are on a time frame remember.” Nick said to me.

“Yes I remember Nick, stop talking to me like I’m a little kid please its starting to piss me off.” I said in annoyance tone. 

“Whatever Nelle. Let’s go please.” Nick said while stripping his clothes off at the back of the school building.

“Woah! Hey your not going shift behind a tree or something dude seriously?” I said quickly covering my eyes.

Nick laughs. “Boy you act like you never seen a naked man before, get use to it Nelle we are werewolves for Christ sakes!” Nick said before shifting into his black wolf, Nick shook his fur out and looked at me with a growl and nudge my leg to quickly shift.

“Fine don’t rush me.” I said behind a tree, quickly stripped out of my clothes I shift into my wolf. I shake my fur out and stretch. Nick comes around the corner and motions for me to come on.

“You sure are bossy today what is your problem.” I asked Nick though a mindlink.

“Nothing just ready to get home to relax and shit.” Nick said to me. I jumped in front of him to make him stop.

“You know you can just go back home I can handle things from here ya know.” I said.

“I’m good lets keep moving please I don’t want to hear the alphas mouth’s  about why I let you come here by yourself.” Nick said to me while walking pass me.

“Hmm I’m capable of taking care of myself Nick please just go since you have an attitude and I don’t feel like dealing with other peoples attitudes right now.” I said walking behind him.

“I don’t have an attitude with you Nelle I just think this whole situation is dangerous and we should let the alphas know what is going on right now because it could be a trap.” Nick said looking around the field.

“I doubt it’s a trap, beside you sound like Carmen this morning when we tracked him.” I said sniffing the air for Travis’s scent. I know we are not supposed to smell other unmated wolfs scent especially if it not our mates we could get in trouble for that. 

Charnelle’s P.O.V

I looked up at the sky I could tell it was getting close to dusk soon. I started to pace in the clearing of the field.

“Would you please stop that.” Nick said to me.

“I can’t help it, something doesn’t seem right he should be here right now. Link one of the guards to see if they have anything at one of the pack boarders.” I asked Nick. I watched as his eyes glazed over and return to normal.

“What did they say?” I asked.

“Hmm they have something at the northern boarder, and they have informed the alphas’s as well Nelle.”

“WHAT! No Nick we have to get to the boarder immediately before the alpha’s get their. Let’s go.” I said taking off and running towards the northern boarder.

“Why do you care so much about this rogue for Nelle? Is he your mate or something?” Nick asked though a mindlink.

“No he’s not my mate at least I don’t think he is, I still have 4 more hours before I find my mate Nick.” I said slowly I stopped near the northern boarder I could hear the guards talking to someone but it wasn’t Travis. I sighed in relief. I quickly motioned for Nick to turn around when I caught the sent of the alphas approaching the scene. I quickly hide myself under some dirt to cover my scent.

“What are you doing?”  Nick asked me though a mindlink.

“I’m covering my scent so that the alphas will not smell me once we leave here now lets go.”  I said walking away from the boarder. Once back at the field I started to get really upset about getting stood up on a meeting. I started pace again until Nick come into view.

“I think we should use get our books and go before the alphas come by here since we are close to the school. What are you angry about?” Nick said to me.

“That’s a good idea lets go. I hate being stood up for anything at least send a text or something to let someone know that you are going to be late damn it.” I said walking off from the field towards to school.

Back at the school I quickly shift back to my human form and walk towards the front entrance of the building and unlocking it, quickly turning off the alarm with the code that my mother had given me. Walking towards my locker I keep feeling like I was being watched. 

“Nick is that you? Hello is someone here?” 

“Nick where the hell are you?”

“I got stopped by the alphas, alpha Damien is in the school with you and yes he is mad.” Nick said before cutting the mindlink from me.

Just great!  I thought to myself.

“Why were you and Nick near the northern boarder?” Damien asked me from behind and blocking me into my locker.

“Geez can’t you tap someone before you just sneak up on them dang, you just gave me a heart attack.” I said turning around to face him with my book in my hand.

“Charnelle stop avoiding the question and answer me now.” Damien said has he lifted my head up under my chin to meet his glaze.

“I decide to go for a run since we was here no big deal and we ended up at the boarder. I heard a little commotion and smelled you guys so I motion for us to come back to the school.” I told him in a nonchalant manner, and tried to squeeze pass him, but he blocked me again.

Damien lean in closer to get a whiff of my neck and asked. “Why do you smell like dirt for?”

I huffed at him slightly pushed him to back up.”If you must know I tripped over a dirt pile ok, I was trying to cover up my scent so you wouldn’t smell me to ask me why I was there.” I started to walk away when alpha Darren and Nick entered the hallway.

“Is everything good in here?” Darren asked me but looking at Damien.

“Yes just peachy.” I said walking away from them headed towards the front for the school building. While waiting for them to come out I received a telephone call.

“Hey little wolf sorry I couldn’t make it to our meeting.” Travis said to me.

“Yeah you could have sent a message or something to let me know but look I have to go but I’m going to a club tonight called Club Inferno in town at the near city that’s close to our packs land meet me there.” I said quickly hanging up before he could respond back to me.

“Who was that on the phone?” Darren asked me as he walked up towards me.

“Oh just the girls wondering where I was that’s all. Nick did you get your book so we can go?” I said while asking Nick about his book.

“Yeah I got it lets go.” Nick said to me.

“Yeah go ahead I have to put the alarm back on and lock up the school first I will meet you in the car.” I said quickly locking up the school and putting the alarm back on. After locking up the school I quickly went to Nick’s car but I was stopped by a certain smell that I knew was trouble, quickly putting my books down and shift to my wolf once again. I could see Nick looking at me like I was crazy from his car.

Nelle what the hell are you doing?

It’s a rogue about 12 feet away from me I can’t move right now.

I’m letting the alphas’s know. Stay calm I’m coming.

No! It’s moving closer stay in your car Nick please.

I swear you are so stubborn girl I’m coming to help you no questions asked.

Before I could say anything else to Nick, I had other mindlink coming though.

Nelle where are you baby girl it’s getting late you need to get to the house now.

I‘m coming mom, but its some rogues in front of the school I can’t leave right now they have my scent.

What Nelle! No let the alphas’s handle it or I’m telling your father now and the alpha Derrick. 

Mom please hurry! 

I quickly ended the mindlink to mindlink Nick again.

Nick where are you? It’s about 20 rogues right now and how did they get pass the boarder patrol? Nick!!

I’m here Nelle I was letting the alphas’s now what’s going on. I’m right behind you just keep looking straight ahead.

Ok I got it. 

This was the most craziest s**t I was ever in and I’m the mine one in our group to get in some trouble but this beats anything I can think of at the moment. I keep my eyes on the leader that was walking in front of the group that seemed to be getting bigger by the minute. I received a mindlink from Damien.

Nelle what the hell is going on here? 

You’re asking me like I brought them here I was just locking up the school! And what the hell took y’all so long to get back here? Don’t be questioning me and s**t you need to be questioning them NOT ME!!!!!

Yeah whatever!  I said to Damien. Damien just looked at me then at the group of rogues. Darren followed suit and stood beside me while Damien stayed in front of me. I could see that the leader of the group has changed into his human form now, and was still focused on me for some reason.

“I would like to talk with the little she wolf please allow her to shift. So we could talk.” The man said to Damien and Darren. They both looked at me questionably, Damien shifted quickly to his human form speak to the man.

“What business do you have with her?” Damien asked.

“You will know in do time, please shift little wolf.” The man said.

I quickly obeyed the command that was given to me. Shifting in front of the twins and the group of rogues, to only get a furious growl from the twins and Damien forcing me his shirt to put on, quickly putting on the shirt I walked towards the leader. 

“Yes.” I said eyeing the man from head to toe.

“You’re a pretty little thing aren’t you? I know you have been in contact with my son I need to speak to him immediately.” The man said to me.

“Thank you and I’m confused who is your son and what makes you think I know him?” I asked.

“I had one of my warriors to follow him and they said that saw you two out in a field earlier this day and you let him go.” The man said to me. Once again I did hear I furious growl come from the twins again. Quickly mindlinking them.

I will explained later.

Damn right you will.  Darren said to me.

“Oh you mean Travis is your son and I let him go because he was just passing though, I didn’t see anything harm in not letting my alphas’s know the details in our conversation that we had.”

“I see that. I can also see why he stayed around your pack lands as well. You do realize that my son is in search of his mate, and he might think you are his chosen one.” The man said to me.

“I have been told that so many times today and I do have plans to meet with him later tonight at a club in town not to far from our pack lands.” I said to the man.

“One question what is your name sir?” I asked.

“My name is Travis Sr. Young lady, when do you become 18?”

“In the next 2 hours Mr. Travis sir.”

“I see hmm I guess we will have to wait until 2 hours to see if you are my son’s mate then.” 

“The hell we will my daughter is not your son’s mate sir.” My father said to Mr. Travis as he walked up to stand beside me. My father looked at me angrily because I broke protocol and lied to him. 

“I have summoned for my alpha and luna who should be here any minute and we can discuss this in a more proper manner and not out in front of the high school. As for you young lady I will deal with you later home now!” My father said to me.

“But daddy I—“

“I said HOME NOW CHARNELLE!” My father said to me. Taken back by his tone I bowed my head and walked towards the cars. Nick quickly shifted back to his human form walks with me towards his car, but before I could get in Darren grabbed my arm and pulled me towards their car.

“I’m riding with Nick back to my house.” I said to him.

“No you will be riding with us, Damien is getting your things. Now get in Charnelle.” Darren said as he unlocked the car doors. Damien returned with my items and handed them to me. I quickly looked at my phone and seem I had a several missed calls, realizing that they was all from Travis I quickly dialed the number back.

“Hello hey you need to talk to someone right now.”

“Why haven’t you been answering your phone in the last hour.” Travis said to me.

“Oh because I was talking to your father for one now let me give him the phone.” I said jumping out of the car and hearing Darren and Damien yelling for me to come get back in the car. Quickly running towards my father and Travis’s father.  

“Here I have him on the phone.” I said handling my phone to Travis’s father. My father quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me way their conversation.

“I thought I told you to go home and not make any phone calls.” My father said to me.

“You did but I didn’t see a reason why I couldn’t return any phone calls.” I said. 

“Thank you Ms. Charnelle we will be leaving now, and I will collect my son from the town hopefully we can meet again little wolf.” Mr. Travis said to me and turned to leave.

“Home now Charnelle I will not say it again.” My father said to me as he turned to leave.

“Fine.” I said walking back towards the alphas’s car I got in only to receive disappointed looks from them.

“How reckless can you be Charnelle to break protocol like that we have protocol for a f*****g reason now everyone is going to think its ok to break the rules ugh!” Darren said to me while driving back to my house.

“Like I said he was just passing through why hold someone if they are passing through our lands and it was just him not anyone else. Beside he didn’t even know his father had someone tailing him.” I said to them.

“It doesn’t matter rules are rules Charnelle. We will have to talk about your punishment later.” Damien said to me.

“Punishment seriously, you have to be kidding me right now.”

“No we are dead ass serious with you.” Damien said.

“Ugh fine whatever.” I said as I hopping out of the car once it entered my driveway. Getting out the car I quickly ran into the house to take a shower. 

“Wait one minute young lady. What the hell is happening right now?” My mom asked me.

“Nothing is going on mom, I’m fine ok. I just want to forget this day and just go to sleep ok that’s all.” I said as I brushed passed her walking into my room. Once in my room I quickly removed Damien’s shirt and started my shower. In the shower I wanted the water to be scorching hot so it could feel like I was washing away my skin. After showering and rewashing my hair again I quickly dried off and started to put on my pajamas. After finishing my night routine I was greeting with my father and mother in my room.

“I’m very disappointed in you baby girl you lied to me and your mother about the what happened in the field today at school. I’m not sure what your punishment is for the alpha and the twins but you are definitely grounded from here on out do you understand me?” My father said to me.

“But daddy I turn 18 in an hour you can’t punish me like that.” I said looking at him and then my mother.

“Oh but sweetheart I can and I will. Keep talking back and I will lock you in this room forever do I make myself clear.”

“Shawn that’s enough now. I need both of you to apologize to each other right now. No one is going to sleep mad at each other tonight I mean that now apologize.” My mother said to us.

“But mom I wasn’t been disrespectful when I said that I turn 18 in an hour though.”

“APOLOGIZE RIGHT NOW BOTH OF YOU!!!” My mother demanded for us.

“I’m sorry.” My father and I said at the same time.

“Good its been a long day and its time for everyone to get some sleep.” My mother said as she kissed me on my cheek and pushed my father out of my room. Once I heard their bedroom door shut I quickly sent a mindlink to the girls.

Sasha and Nicole me meet at the western boarder in 30 minutes.

Seriously Nelle, this is my first night with my mate. Can’t we do this tomorrow? Sasha asked.

No tonight now come on and where is my brother and the twins at anyway?

They are in my brothers office having a meeting apparently. But I’m down because I really want to go to the club tonight. Nicole said to us.

Right so do I. So Sasha are you down? 

Ugh fine but you owe me big time girl. Sasha said to me.

I know I do now lets go please.

While waiting for the girls to get to the boarder Carmen keep insisting that we stay at the house.

“Carmen no please just go along with this please, trust me I already know I’m going to be in more trouble with mom and dad if they find out that I snuck out of the house tonight after daddy grounded me.” I said to her.

“I’m not worried about your parents at all I’m worried about our mate catching us drinking and dancing with other males it my issue.” She said to me.

Before I could respond I smelled Nicole and Sasha coming towards me.

“Can we please hurry up before they finish their meeting in their.” Sasha said looking back at the pack house.

“Yeah lets go.” I told them. Quickly shifting into our wolves we ran through the western boarder where the town was located. Running about 30 minutes we stop at the towns welcome sign and shift back to our human form.

“So what happened today? Nicole asked me.

“Do we have to talk about that right now I just want to blow off some steam and party ok that’s all.” I said walking into Club Inferno. Inferno was definitely packed tonight and I couldn’t wait to to hit the dance floor. Walking over the bar I ordered us some drinks to get the party started. After drinking three rounds of shot we all hit the dance floor dancing to Move Ya Body by Nina Sky. While dancing I felt some hands on my waist I turned around to see that it was Travis standing behind.

“What are you going here I thought you had left with your father?” I asked him.

“No I told my father that I wanted to be here when you turn 18 to see if you are my mate, so I will be leaving in the morning.” He told me. We dancing to couple more song before I excused myself to go to the restroom. While in the bathroom I bumped into Vanessa and her  best friend Simone.

“Look who it is Simone, if it isn’t little miss hoe herself here in the club.” Vanessa said to me.

“b***h you are the last person to be calling someone a hoe, all the boys you done sleep with in the pack.” I said to Vanessa while washing my hands.

She huffed. “Whatever hoe, your just mad that I can be myself and I don’t have to be held to accountable for my actions since my daddy isn’t a beta.”

“Hoe please you wouldn’t even hold yourself accountable even if you was the betas daughter so let’s not even go there.” I said while walking up to her.

“b***h I will beat your ass right here in this damn bathroom!” Vanessa yelled at me.

“Come on then b***h ain’t nobody scared of you at all.” I said.

Right then Vanessa slap me a crossed my face. I shook it off and started punching her until she fall to the ground. Vanessa grabbed a big chuck of my hair and stated kicking me in the stomach. Before either of us could hit each other with other blow Sasha and Nicole busted in the bathroom and pulled me out of there. Once outside of the bathroom they told Vanessa and Simone to stay in there until they could calm me down. But it was too late I was seeing red at that point and I wanted to kill her right there on the spot. Travis come running to look at my face and to see what happened.

“Little wolf what the hell happened in the bathroom?”

“Just got into it with our packs slut that we have in it.”

“We need to get you out of here ASAP your brother keep mindlinking me asking where am I.” Sasha said as she brought me some ice for my lip. Travis carefully put the ice on my bottom lip.

“Damn little wolf you can be so feisty I see I like that.” Travis to me. 

I laughed. “At times I can be feisty ok not all the time.” I said looking at him. I could feel the alcohol kicking in again because I was focused on Travis mouth and wishing he would kiss me. As if he could read my mind Travis slowly grabbed my face and kissed me. Now I’m not talked about just a quick little peck but a full on make out session. I could feel Carmen telling me something but I couldn’t focus at the moment. 

“Mate is here please stop kissing him now!” Carmen said in my head.

“What are you talking about we haven’t found our mate yet.” Just as I said those words to her the most incredible scent hit my nose it smelled like chocolate and mints. I quickly pulled back from kissing Travis and looked around the club.

“Hmm I take it that your mate or mates just showed up huh little wolf.” Travis asked me.

I shook my head slightly to get out of the fog I was in and answered him.  “Yeah I believe so. I’m so sorry that I’m not your mate though Trav—“ before I could finish my sentence I was snatched out of my chair by Damien looking so furious at me and then back at Travis. Quickly pushing me behind him he grabbed Travis by his shirt.

“STAY THE f**k AWAY FROM HER!! BEFORE I BEAT THE s**t OUT OF YOU!!” Damien said to Travis as he has him pined up against the wall.

“Damien stop it put him down he did nothing wrong damn it! PUT HIM DOWN NOW!” I said hitting him on his back. While hitting him I started to feel little sparks on my hands when I touched him.

“What the f**k! Damien are you my mate?” I asked surprised that it was just now hitting me that he was my mate.

Damien looked at me and let Travis go and turn his attention towards me.

“Yes I’m your mate now lets go.” He said while pulling me out of the club I quickly waved goodbye to Travis and mouthed that I will text him tomorrow. Outside to club I could see that everyone was here. My brother and Sasha were having a very heated conversation and so were Nicole and Chris. I glanced at Nick who just shook his head at me. 

Ugh it is going to be a long night. I thought to myself.

It wouldn’t have been if we would have just stayed home like I told you to do. Carmen said to me.

I’m not in the mood for your lecture right now Carmen, ugh my head hurts.

Sorry girls for getting y’all in trouble with me.

Girl they will be ok, besides you have a lot more trouble when you get to the pack house from Darren since he is not here. Nicole said to me. Frantically I looked back at her from the passenger seat up front. I mentally palmed my face and sighed yup this is going to be a very long night, but it was worth it.
