Chapter 4

Charnelle’s P.O.V

I must have fallen asleep in the car because I could feel someone picking me up. I stirred just a little in my sleep, I felt myself been placed on the couch in the living room of the pack house. I waited until I heard the footsteps disappear into the kitchen. I sat up I could see that Sasha and Nicole were also playing asleep. I looked around the room and decided to go ahead an get up since I started to get hungry. Walking towards the kitchen I could hear the guys in their talking.

“You do realize that they are not sleeping right now right?” Maurice asked the guys.

“Yeah we know your sister’s breathing changed when I put her on the couch. So yeah I know she is up.” Darren said to them.

“Just mad that they all snuck out and s**t like who does that while we are in the middle of a f*****g lockdown.” Chris said. I glanced at Nicole I knew she was sad. 

“Sounds like something my sister come up with, she was supposed to go to the club already remember. You guys really do have your hands full with her. Please be sure to come up with something to tell my parents why she is not in their household in the morning.” Maurice said to the twins. 

“Yeah we already know she is a hand full besides we still have to deal with her letting the rogue go in that field. s**t she lied to everyone yesterday I don’t like being lied to at all.” Darren said. That made me feel a little sting in my heart. 

“We will think of something but for right now I really would like to go to sleep. My head is killing me right now.” Damien said. I could see now that Damien is definitely going to be my hard headed mate and Darren is going to be my caring and passionate mate. I decided it was enough of the ear hustling and go talk to our mates. Nicole and Sasha motion for me to go in their first. As soon as I walked through the door all eyes was on me. I hope my cut on my lip healed. I thought to myself.

I walked around the kitchen looking for my ingredients so I could make me and the girls some sandwiches. Finally find all the ingredients and started making the sandwiches the girls came in the kitchen. You could feel the tension in the room. 

“I guess I’m the one who needs to be saying sorry to everyone huh?” I asked looking at the guys. 

“Look just go ahead and make the sandwiches for you and the girls so we can go to sleep please.” Damien said to me near the counter of the kitchen by the back door. Just as I was about to say something to him, when two slutly looking omegas walked in and spotted Damien.

“Alpha Damien why don’t you take us bed again tonight hmm?” One of the sluts said with her hand rubbing on his arm while the other one was in between his legs. I narrowed my eyes at them before clearing my throat.

“Take them to bed again huh?” I said sarcastically to Damien.

“Hmm its not like that at all I promise you Nelle. Girl stop touching me please you are trying to get us both killed right now.” Damien said to the omegas.

“Why are you worried about her for she can’t do anything to us.” The omega said. Before I could calm my wolf down I was already beside the omega with my hand around her neck.

“First of all b***h I’m the future luna of this pack so you will show me some respect when you are in my presence do you understand me?”I asked as I squeezed her neck until she couldn’t do anything but just nod her head. I looked at the other omega who was backed up until a corner with her head blowed. I felt sparks go through my body as someone gentle tried to get me to let lose her neck, she dropped to the floor.

“I’m going to say this 1 time only for you two omegas and any other omega that thinks she can get to either one of them. I maybe small but I will f**k you up with you mess with what is mines now run and go tell that to your little ass friends.” I watched them run out of the kitchen in a hurry, causally I walked back over to the stove to finish cooking my sandwiches. When the sandwiches was finished me and the girls went into the dinning room area to eat.  

Damien’s P.O.V

“What the hell just happened?” I asked my brother and the guys.

“Well our mate just threat to kill any omegas that try to come on to us. I personally think that she meant every word she said here tonight.” Darren said to me while laughing at me.

“That s**t is not funny at all besides, Maurice did you know she could move that fast” I asked him.

“Yeah her and my mom goes out once a week to do her scout training. Granted we don’t have scouts in our pack like some of the other packs do world wide but they are very fast I must say.” Maurice said to us.

“Where do they do their training at?” Darren asked.

“The outskirts of our boarders and the territory that’s not claim by a pack on neutral grounds. Damn I should have asked her to make me some sandwiches.” Maurice said as he was about to walk into the dinning room.

“Wait have they ever in encountered any rogues while out there.” I asked him.

“Hmm I think they have a couple of times to be honest yeah I remember one time they come home covered in blood from a rogue attack. My dad was furious at them because they didn’t call for help, so he stopped them from going out for a while.” Maurice said to us. 

Before we could finish our conversation the girls walked in with their plates in their hands carrying them to the sink to be washed.

“Nelle do you think you can make me a sandwich to sis?” Maurice asked her.

“Seriously why didn’t you ask for one when I was making them for? Do anybody else want a sandwich before I decide to head to bed?” She asked everyone. Everyone raised their hands even the girls again.

“It seems like we all want one now pup.” Darren said to her. 

Charnelle’s P.O.V

“Ugh would you stop calling me pup now.” I said to Darren. Pushing him out of my way so I could make more sandwiches for everyone to eat this time. While making the sandwiches I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I wanted to check it but I could feel Damien and Darren looking at me from the side of my eye. Finishing up the sandwiches I placed them on the kitchen breakfast nook for them to grab one. Before I could head to the door of the kitchen I was grabbed by Darren.

“Where are you going?” Darren asked me while leaning against the door frame.

“To the bathroom, is that okay with you?” I said sarcastically to him.

“Fine don’t be to long in their either.” He said to me. 

“You can’t rush someone to use the bathroom you know.” I said as I entered the bathroom.

While in the bathroom I quickly checked my phone seeing that I had several missed called from my mom and some text messages from her and Travis. Deciding to call her instead of texting her.

“Hey mom.” I said as she picked up on the first ring.

“Where the hell are you at right now?” She asked.

“I’m at the pack house momma.”

“Why are you at the pack house for get your ass back here before your father wakes up.”

“I’m here because the twins are my mates.” I told her.

“Well I see now, hmm I will tell your father about this and we still have our training this morning so I suggest you get some sleep baby girl ok. I love you goodnight.”

“I love you too momma and I will. I’m about to come to the house now to get some clothes first though.” I told her. 

“If you think so baby girl, your mates are not going to let you out of their sights for a while now trust me on that.” She said before she hang up the phone. I shook my head and walked out of the bathroom. I walked back into the kitchen where everyone was still eating and talking. I walked over to the countertop near the stove and sat on it. While observing the scene I realized that my mates were no longer in the kitchen. I decided to use this time to head back to my parents house to get some clothes. 

Outside of the pack house I made my way towards my parents house. Before I could unlock the door I felt sparks on my back as someone pulled me close to them.

“What are you doing here?” Damien asked me. 

“I was coming to get some clothes and shower, can you let me go now.”  I told him.

“No you have clothes and everything at the pack house now, so lets go.” He said as he picked me up and throw me over his shoulder. 

“Wait Damien put me down now. Do you not realize that I have a skirt on right now and I can feel a breeze down there.” I said to him. 

Love I think you said the wrong thing lol. Carmen said to me with a laugh.

What I’m telling the truth Carmen. What’s so funny? I asked her. 

You just turn on our mate for one, I must say his wolf is quite handsome. Carmen said to me.

After my little talk with Carmen I realized that Damien had stopped walking. 

“Damien can you put me down please?” I asked him. Roughly he moved me so that I was facing him this time.

“YOU ARE MINES!” He told me and buried he nose in the crook of my neck to inhale my scent. 

“Yes I know I’m yours.” I told him. Damien at look me in the eyes before he continued to carry me into the pack house. Inside that pack house I could tell that everyone has gone to bed. Damien carried me up to the fourth floor of the pack house. Once inside of the room Damien placed me down on the floor. 

“Why did you leave the pack house baby girl.” Darren asked me while coming out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist. 

“I was going to get some clothes and have a shower at my parents house.” I said to him with my back facing him. 

They laughed. “You know you will have to get use to us being naked around each other right?” They said to me. 

“I know that but hmm this will have to take some time to getting use to most people get one mate not two.” I said to them.

“Go shower baby girl. We promise to be on our best behavior when you come out.” They said to me.

In the bathroom I decided that I was going to take a nice hot bubble to relax my muscles to get ready for my training in the morning with my mom. After finish my bath I headed to the walk-in closet and got some pajamas out for me and decided to lay out some workout clothes as well. Just as I finished laying out my workout clothes the twins entered the clothes.

“Do you like the clothes?” Damien asked me. 

“Yes I like them. I’m surprised that you have my size in here to be honest.” I told them while checking myself out in the full length mirror that was in the closet. Darren went over to my workout clothes and held them up.

“What are these for?” Darren asked. 

“My scout training that I do with my mom every week, we are starting it back up again.” I said to them. I noticed that Darren made a face to Damien before looking back at me.

“What’s with the face for?” I asked looking at them with my hand on my hips.

“We didn’t make a face baby.” Damien said to me.

“Bullshit! Now tell me.” I said to them.

“Ok we think you and your mother should stop with the scout training indefinitely.” Darren said to me as he walks out of the closet. 

“What! No you can’t make us just stop doing something that we like to do.” I told them.

“We can and we will.” Damien said to me.

“This unbelievable right now. You just can’t stop something that’s important to us. It’s apart of who we are and your just trying to stop it. Just because you two don’t understand it doesn’t mean that something bad happened.” I told them.

“But didn’t something bad happened before that’s why your father stopped y’all from doing it for some months right?” Damien said to me.

“That’s beside the point like ok yes we ended up running into some rogues but that’s bound to happen in neutral territory though.” I said to them.

“No you and your mother will not continue your training its finial and I will let your father know as well to let your mother know as well.” Darren said to me. 

“Ok I get that your upset about me letting Travis go at the field yesterday but taking away something that I like doing is way worst then that. That’s the time me and my mom bond over stuff we can’t talk to my father about or my brother. It’s just our girls time that we do together and now your trying to ruin it.”I said to them with tears in my eyes.

“It’s for your own protection baby girl. You’ll see we promise.” Damien said to me as he tries to wipe the tears from my eyes.

“NO DON’T TOUCH ME! I CAN’T EVEN LOOK AT YOU TWO RIGHT NOW!” I said as I ran out of the bedroom.

 I must have been running for awhile because I felt Carmen take over my body for awhile. When I finial come to I realized that I was in neutral territory and that I had someone trying to mindlink me.

Nelle please come home we are sorry ok, we can rethink this whole training thing ok. Damien and Darren said to me.

I’m fine please leave me alone. I told them. I blocked them from mindlink me.

Baby girl what is going on the twins are mindlinking sending out and SOS looking for you. Are you ok?

Yes momma I’m ok we got into an argument last night about us continuing scout training and they want to stop it. Like momma they can’t stop us for training can they.

They can baby their are the alphas’s of the pack baby girl, they can do anything really. But where are you so I can bring you some clothes and some food baby.

I’m in the neutral territory where we be training at I guess Carmen know this was the only spot they didn’t know about to find me.

Mom make sure your not being followed.

While waiting for my mom I decided to walk around the territory to check this out, since we haven’t been out here in some months things can change. While walking back to the cottage I spotted my mom coming up the walkway. 

“I’m glad I did bring you some clothes because their is none out here for any one to change into.” My mom said to me.

“I was thinking the same thing when I was walking the grounds around here.” I told her.

“You know you have them pretty upset right.”

I huffed. “Yeah right they will be fine, I’m going to message one of the omegas to move my stuff into one of the spare bedrooms on the third floor of the pack house for now on.”

“You don’t think that’s little to much baby girl.” My mom asked.

“No its not too much momma.” I told her after I finished my plate of food that she brought for me. I just about to put on my clothes when I caught the smell of rotten flesh blowing in the wind. Quickly shift to my wolf I looked back and seen my mom do the same. Walking out of the cottage I followed the smell towards the northern boarder I crouched down to make sure no one could see me, then I heard a faint cry of a baby. I looked at my mother who had a puzzled look on her face quickly shifting back to my human form I walked over to the small baby still covered in blood and vernix caseosa. I was about to pick up the baby when my let out a warning growl not to.

“But momma he/she was just born plus the umbilical cord and placenta are still attached momma we have to help the baby please.” I said to her. She just looked at me. Finally she shifted to her human form. Finding a couple of shirts stashed in the area we put them on and put one around the baby that I could tell was a baby girl now. We walked back towards the cottage to get my regular clothes and the food basket that we left there.

“Are you going to change into your clothes now baby girl.” My mom asked me.

“No mom I’m fine I just want to get her to the pack doctor and just check to see if she is ok that’s all I want to do today ok.” I told her.

“Well can you put some panties and pants on your shirt is to little and is showing everything right now, I don’t want the unmated wolves to get any ideas ok.” She told me. 

“Fine I will.” I put on my panties and pants and grabbed Chloe from my mom. 

“You will make a great mom one day baby girl, I just want to let you know that.”

“Thank you mom.”

Walking towards the pack doctor I could smell Damien and Darren’s scent all over the pack grounds. I had to focus on getting this little girl checked out. Once we reached the doctor she rushed us back in the room quickly.

“Future Luna and Beta Sharnelle what brings you by here. And Luna when were you pregnant?” Doctor Amy asked.

“I’m not pregnant yet anyway I found her outside our boarders and I knew she need to have medical attention, so I brought her here.” I told the doctor. Before I could say anything else I smelled them coming this way.

“You told them I was here seriously.”

“They have been mindlinking nonstop since last night asking about your whereabouts I had to let them know.” Amy said to me all I could do was roll my eyes at her.

“Where have you been? Do you know how worried we was about you last night?” Darren said to me. Damien quickly moved my face left to right to see if I had any injuries on me. 

“Why do you smell like blood for both of you do why?” Damien asked me and my mom. But before we could answer Chloe made a piercing scream that made me rush back to her side and pushed the doctor away from her. I gentled rocked her so she could stop crying and sent evil glares at the doctors way.

“Hmm who’s f*****g baby is that she is holding?” Damien and Darren asked my mom and the doctor.

“We found her on our way back coming here outside the northern boarder.” My mom said to them. 

“Luna I promised you I’m not hurting her I swear but I do need to finish my exam on her please.” Amy said to me. I looked down at Chloe and shock my head no. 

“No I will bring her back later today or tomorrow you are stressing her out right now doctor, and I will not have that at all.” I told Amy as I continued to rock her to sleep.

“Hmm baby I think you should let the doctor finish her exam on the baby ok. Amy promised she wouldn’t hurt her anymore right doctor.” Darren said to me leading me back to the examination table to place Chloe on the table.

“Yes I promised Luna she is safe in my hands.” Amy said to me. I just let out a low growl towards her.

“Beta Sharnelle where did you find her at? And does she wants to keep this baby?” Damien asked my mom.

“You see how protective she is over that baby of course she is keeping her no questions asked about that even from you two. She was at the northern boarder.”  My mom said to them as she walked out of the examination room.

“Beta Sharnelle we didn’t know she would react that way if we stopped your training together. We just want everyone to be safe within the packs boarders that’s all.” Damien said to my mom.

“Everyone is safe within the pack boarders no questions about that at all alphas’s but what happens when its time for you two to head to the summits and go to other packs for treaty meetings your family can’t always come with you, and then the ultimate danger starts coming to our front door while you are away its so much the Beta male and female can do to make sure that everyone is safe. I made a vow to her when she was born that I will show her how to protect herself when her mate or her brother or father wouldn’t be around to protect her. I have been that situation too many times to count for that to happen to my daughter, and I will be damned if I don’t continue to push her farther then she is capable of. Trust me her father was against it 100 percent but it happened one day we were outside in the meadow picking flowers when this rogue come for us. I told her to run and hide and don’t come out until she smelled me or her father. Granted yes scouts are small but trained properly who can be very strong. But to make a long story short I killed the rogue and her father has let me trained her ever since and its not about to stop now alphas’s. Now if you would excuse me I need to tell my daughter I need to get home to start her fathers lunch.” My mom said to Damien and Darren, as she walked passed them.

“I’m headed home baby girl. See you tomorrow.” She said to me as kissed my forehead. 

“Ok momma but we are right behind you, she is all set to come home now. It’s that my Chloe bear.” I said walking with my mom out of the doctors office.

“Oh you guys are still here? I was sure y’all had left already but anyway we need to make a nursery for Chloe and go to the store to buy her some clothes in stuff ok.” I said to Damien and Darren as we walked back to the pack house. I waved and kissed my mom goodbye and promised to call her when I got everything settled for Chloe’s nursery ready. 

“Yeah we will have some of the omegas to go to the store baby.” Damien said to me as I walked up to stairs to our bedroom.

Darren’s P.O.V

I told my brother to walk with Charnelle and the baby to the pack house I wanted to stay and talk to the doctor.

“Hey Amy is the baby really okay to be taken home now?” I asked.

“Yes Alpha Darren she is perfectly healthy baby girl kinda sad though the birth mom just left her in the woods when Luna Charnelle and Beta Sharnelle found her. Her weight is 8 lbs.12oz. So she is very healthy. Is something wrong alpha?” Amy asked me.

“Yes can you tell if she is going to be human or a wolf?” I asked Amy.

“I won’t be able to tell until she turns about three years old Alpha sorry.” Amy told me.

“Ok that’s fine we can wait until then, but what made Luna so protective over the baby.” I asked.

“Maternal instincts Alpha Darren to be honest she will protect Chloe like she give birthed to herself is all I could tell you.” Amy said to me. 

“Ok thank you doctor.”  I said to her, as I walked out of the pack’s infirmary towards the packs house. Once inside I could see every omega coming and going out of the house. I walked in the kitchen to see Maurice and the gang all in the kitchen except for Charnelle.

“Where is she?” I asked my brother.

“She’s up stairs in the nursery for Chloe, her and the girls they are decorating the bedroom beside ours. I think Charnelle wants to knock the wall down to make the rooms adjoining, but you will have to double check with her though. She was talking to fast and her voice got really high pithed so I could tell that she was excited.” Damien said to me. I gave my brother a puzzling look.

“What’s wrong?” Damien asked me.

Damien’s P.O.V

 I watched my brother shake his head as he left the kitchen. I quickly told the guys that I will be right back to finish our conversation.

“Hey I will be right back let me see what’s going on with him.” I told them.

“It’s cool man take your time s**t has changed a lot in the last 48 hours to be honest.” Nick said to me.

“Thanks man for understanding.” I said leaving to kitchen. I sent my brother a mindlink.

Hey where are you right now?

I’m in the gym right now I need to workout to process everything that’s happened in the last 48 hours.

I made my way down to the in home gym we had built inside of the pack house. I watched my brother run on the treadmill for 5 minutes.

“Hey you want to talk about it, because its usually me that is freaking out about s**t like this not you.” I asked him as I handed him a bottle of water.

“Man she just adopted a baby girl right out of the f*****g blue like who does that s**t and not talk to your mates about it at all, then we still have to deal with the fact that she let a rogue go and broke protocol like what the hell is going on like for real. Has she always been this rambunctious growing up because I can’t remember for the life of me.”

“Yeah she has always been this rambunctious my brother, that’s why I was so attracted to her growing up. She always had that nonchalant attitude towards everything and everyone.” I said to Darren. 

“Ugh! I guess we need to set some ground rules for our mate then because this doing what she wants is not working for me at all.” Darren said to me as he got off the treadmill.  I watched as he left to gym. 

“Hey where are you going now?” I asked him.

“I’m going to shower and relax before we have our talk with our mate.” Darren said. 

“Damn he is very upset.” I said to myself.

“He does have a point we will need to set up some ground rules for our mate most definitely.” Demon my wolf said to me.   

“Yeah I know, and I also know she is not going to like that at all.” I said to him.
