“Where’s Row? Where am I?” I try to ask the scary man holding me, but he says nothing. I start crying, I try to open my eyes but all I can see is darkness. I’m afraid of the dark, mommy always has a nightlight out for me. Mommy… I cry harder at the thought that she has to be so worried about me. ‘Don’t worry mommy, I will try to find my way back to you and Row.’
“Open the door we have arrived.” The scary man carrying me says. They smell like wolves, but they smell terribly, like rotten garbage. The man throws me on the ground and with a thud I hit the floor.
“Avanth! My king, I’m glad you have come back unharmed.” Someone takes the covering off my eyes and I can see again. I back up into the corner as I watch these scary men talk about me like I am a gift.
