Short update!
“Raven?!” I waited for an answer but she doesn’t respond.
“Jade, are you in the cave still?” Her panicked voice puts me on edge.
“Yes. Why, where are you? What’s happening?” Nothing. I am responded with nothing. Panic fills me because she doesn’t respond. I wait a moment and can’t take it anymore. I get up and started to make my way to the front when I hear her scream, an anguishing scream that makes my blood run cold. I react on instinct, not caring what awaits me outside.
“I will only ask you one more time, WHERE IS SHE!?” I heard the voice of someone I ran from. A voice I never wanted to hear again. A voice I thought we were free from.
