“Hy honey.” Mum said as she came forward to give me a hug.
Dad said good morning to me and we all walked to have a seat together. There was a feeling in the air and I knew what it was. Excitement and relief from their side and sadness from mine.
Mum nudged dad who sat up more upright and then she cleared her throat.
“I’m sorry… we are sorry that we had to make you come here so urgently.” Mum started to say to me and with excitement in her eyes like a twinkle, she turned to dad with an expectant smile.
Dad cleared his throat looking somewhat between shyness and embarrassment.
“Actually Son, you deserve an apology. This is somwthing that we were supposed to have done a long time ago.” He started.
