***James*** I wake, momentarily confused by my surroundings, before the reality of the last twelve hours creeps back in. My feet are actually warm; not something I am used to outside my own bedroom, because this is a strangely large bed for a guest bedroom. After a minute, I swing my legs out of the bed and pause on the edge for a moment. Out of the window opposite, the view is incredible; it's far-reaching and everything is covered with a blanket of snow. In the distance I can see the jetty where Serena and I had sailed from and even further on the horizon I can see the island.
