Chapter 78 Jealousy in the Rain

1016 Words

Freya thought Niklaus was throwing another tantrum. She rolled her eyes and kept walking. Inside her, Vicki growled softly. "Alphas and their possessive issues. Stay strong." She understood the territorial nature of Alphas, anything they considered theirs was off-limits to others. Two steps later, her arm was seized in a vice-like grip. "Ow!" she hissed, the pain shooting up her arm. "Let go!" Niklaus seemed to momentarily realize his strength but only loosened his grip slightly. His face remained cold as ice, his voice commanding. "We're leaving." "I'm still working," she protested. The scent of sandalwood and pine intensified around him. He didn't bother with a response, simply dragging her toward the exit. Bianca’s voice floated in like honey laced with poison.
