Talyah's Point of View:
The camp was set. Draco's men were sleeping, peacefully. My brother, I was sure he was sleep. He had a long day, riding with Draco and his men. Something he rarely did back home in Gerinburg. The only ones who were up was Draco and me. We ate some strawberries and drank some wine as we gazed up at the night sky that was filled with millions of stars that night.
"So, where are we headed to next?" I asked him.
"The Lainada Kingdom." He told me. "It's snowy out there, so that's why I bought you a coat."
"Will my brother get sick?"
Draco looked at me and shook his head.
"We had a coat made for all the men. Edward happened to find a coat for him to use while we were out there until we got back to the Kingdom to buy him his own."
I nodded.
"So, when will you call me your Mistress to people?"
He shook his head at me and chuckled.
"I won't be." He admitted.
I squinted my eyes at him.
"They are going to know that you and I are together. However, you being a Mistress will not be announced."
"So, what can I do with you in public? Sorry, if I'm asking so much questions."
Draco smiled and nodded.
"Exactly what we're doing now." He responded.
I sighed and moved away from him. Draco grabbed my hand and I glanced his way.
"Why do you move?" He asked.
"You brought me out here to keep me at a distant?"
"No, I didn't. Please, don't do this. I really like you, but you have to understand that I am still married."
"Then, why bring me out here, King Draco?"
"Because soon it would be you by my side as my Queen."
I pulled my hand away and got up.
"Then, don't expect me to acknowledge you while you're still entertaining your wife." I told him.
I turned and walked over to the tent I was sharing with my brother.
"Talyah, come back here." King Draco told me.
I stopped and I felt his arms around me from behind. He pressed his cool lips against my neck and I could feel his warm breath cause the small hairs on it to rise.
"Is this what you want?" He asked me in a whisper. "
"I want you to acknowledge me." I whispered back. "I don't want to be there and the only person who sees me is my brother. I didn't come here just to be in your Kingdom. I came to be with you like you wanted me to be. Don't push me away just because of you being the King."
He turned me around and now our eyes were staring back at each other.
"I would never do that." He told me. "You will definitely be acknowledged in my presence. It's just... Things like what I'm doing now, I can't do it in public. We have to act cordial with one another in the presence of others. I will call you to my bed every now and then. Don't think I won't, but I want you to be ready for that."
My arms snaked their way around the King and I nodded.
"Okay, I will let you know." I told him. "I just wanted to see how you would treat me."
Draco smiled and tried to lean in to kiss me, but I stopped him.
"Goodnight, King Draco."
We released each other and I turned and walked off. As soon as I entered the tent, my brother was up, reading. He glanced up at me and gave me a small smile. Maybe he could be the one to tell me what a Mistress is.
"Are you okay?" Lucis asked me as he put the book down.
I sat down beside him on the blanket and sighed.
"Maybe you can help me understand the whole Mistress thing." I told him. "I'm lost and I don't know what to be expected of."
Lucis sighed and sat up.
"A Mistress is a beautiful woman that the King spends special time with. However, if you want to be a well-respected Mistress, there are some things I can teach you before we approach the Kaenid Kingdom."
I nodded to him. There were things I wasn't sure of and having my brother to help me was going to make things easier.
"Please?" I begged. "I need to understand it."
"I'll tell you tomorrow. Get some rest, okay?"
I nodded and laid down beside my brother.
"So, King Draco said you'll be getting married at the Kingdom soon." I changed the subject.
Lucis chuckled.
"Yeah, I'm nervous, though." He told me.
"Why?"
"What if we don't get along?"
"You're an amazing brother and a good friend from what I heard. You'll do fine."
"You think so?"
I nodded and Lucis shook his head, chuckling again.
"So, what do you think?" Lucis asked. "We're out of that damn Gerinburg, finally. Is that what my lovely sister wanted?"
I smiled and nodded.
"I still miss home." I told him. "However, I hope this experience would be better."
"It will be. I know it will."
"Are you guys up?" Edward asked as he came into the tent.
I sat up and glanced up at him with a smile.
"We're up." I told him.
"King Draco thinks it's better if we get a head start on the trip. So, we're going to head out in a few minutes."
"Wow, really?" I asked. "I was just about to get some rest."
"You can sleep in the carriage." Edward reassured me. "Let's go. Lucis, can you ride?"
"Yes." Lucis answered. "I got me enough sleep."
Lucis got up, then he helped me up. The both of us followed Edward out of the tent and we headed over to the carriage. King Draco stood there, talking to his men. His men listened as they got suited up in coats and other warm gear.
"Here, Lucis." Edward handed my brother a warm outfit. "Don't want you catching a cold."
Lucis nodded and wondered off to get dressed. Once he finished, he came back out to me, showing me his outfit.
"You look good." I told him.
"Thank you." He nodded, then he put his arm around me. "Are you ready to explore the next Kingdom, my dear sister?"
"I am as ready as I'll ever be." I told him.
"Lucis, let's go." King Draco told my brother. "The sooner we get there, the sooner we can get in a warm place filled with beds and baths to wash our asses."
I chuckled before I turned and got on the carriage. I felt an hand on my back and as soon as I sat down, I turned and gave King Draco a smile.
"Are you ready?" King Draco asked me.
"Yes." I told him. "Why the sudden change?"
"No woman of mine is going to have to sleep in a tent with her brother, on the floor. When we get to the Lainada Kingdom, I'll buy you some more clothes and I'll pay for you to have a nice, hot bath, okay?"
I leaned closer to him and nodded.
"Okay." I told him.
King Draco bit his bottom lip. I leaned back in my seat and he closed the door. A yawn escaped my lips and as soon as I closed my eyes, the sleep took over. All I know was that I couldn't wait for us to get to the Lainada Kingdom. That bath sounded really right about now.
