Bryce's POV I stood there staring at the empty studio, tasting defeat for what felt like the first time in years. I got back in the car with a dark feeling in my stomach and called Spencer. "Find out where Hazel moved her studio to." The whole drive home I kept picturing her in the dining room, setting a table full of food, with that soft look she used to get right before she begged my forgiveness for something or the other. Instead, when I walked through the door, the slender figure bustling in the kitchen wasn't Hazel at all. It was Madison, with an apron tied at her waist, Layla beside her washing vegetables.
