‘Then I will’ They both looked at me with wide eyes. ‘Don’t mistake it, I’m not going to take over and defeat this nyk you keep talking about’ ‘Nyx’ Xara corrected’. ‘Right Nyx, I’m going because I want to see my father even though he didn’t want to see me. So let’s get going’ I stop up from my bed. ‘Right now? Isn’t there something you should do first?’ Xara asked. ‘No I don’t think so let’s go’. ‘Wait don’t you need to talk to your mother first so she wouldn’t be worried that you just disappeared?’ he did have a point. As much as I was mad at her, I wouldn’t want her running around searching for me when I wouldn’t even be anywhere on earth. ‘I’ll be right back’ I went to the living room but my mom wasn’t there so I went to her room and heard her in the bathroom. So instead I took a paper from her desk and wrote down Mom, I’m still very much mad at you for lying. I still need some time to process all of this. I’ll be gone for a while so don’t wait up for me or try to call the police I’ll be back.. Yours truly, Emilio I came back to my room. ‘Okay, it’s done can we go now?’ ‘Of course but I prefer to do this outside so come on’ Xara led the way out of the house. ‘Wait, I thought you were taking us there’ I said to Heron ‘Why did you assume that?’ ‘You’re the one with the teleportation’ ‘Well this is different from the teleporting I did in your house. Every time I teleport I lose mana. And before you ask mana is the level of magical power we have. Every time I use magic it decreases. And teleporting over a long distance takes more mana than just a few feet away’ ‘Wait how were you able to teleport into my house?’ ‘Oh I looked through your window to get a look of the surroundings’ he explained. When we were behind the building and out of sight, Xara grabbed a small bottle from one of her pockets on her trouser and drank it. I got a strange feeling from her when her eyes glowed a light blue color. She started murmuring something but I couldn’t hear her, and strange colorful lights shone round her arms as she had them outstretched. Then out of nowhere a bright circular portal was before us. ‘After you prince’ Heron gestured. ‘What?’ he gestured towards the portal . I felt a strange sensation flood through my body as I passed through the portal. When I opened my closed eyes I was in a room, it had shelves with bottles on them, a bookcase with books and scrolls, and … ‘Is that a cauldron? Are you guys witches?’ ‘We’re not witches this is used to make potions’ Xara answered ‘Witches make potions too don’t they?’ ‘We’re not witches!’ Heron said. ‘Ok sorry, so where are we?’ I was inspecting a picture on the wall. ‘We are in-‘the door opened and a woman walked in mumbling to herself and holding numerous scrolls. ‘Agatha’ Xara called. She looked up and noticed us standing there. ‘Xara, Heron you’re back’ gasp ‘that means…’ she looked behind them and was staring at me. ‘Hey’ I gave a little wave. She curtsied and came closer observing me. ‘You look exactly like your father. I’m so glad you came’. ‘Yes but I’m not- would you like to see the rest of the castle?’ she cut me off. ‘Um…’ ‘Perfect, you’ll love it here. Forgive my informality’ she linked hands with me and dragged me off. I couldn’t keep up with her, this place is huge she showed me the ballroom, conference room, the kitchen, even the room I’ll stay in. I couldn’t get her to slow down enough to tell her I’m not planning on staying here. And Heron and Xara, they just disappeared living me to suffer. ‘Miss Agatha can you just stop for a second, I need to tell you something’ I said out of breath. ‘In a moment, wait till you see the throne room’ Agatha kept dragging me towards the room. Immediately we entered the room I freed myself from her grasp. ‘Stop! I get that you’re all excited and everything but I did not come here to stay’ ‘You didn’t come here to stay?’ a man that was facing the window side turned towards me ‘may I know why?’ he was slowly approaching me. ‘About an hour ago I was just a normal guy and all of the sudden someone drops the bomb that I’m some kind of prince and I’m the only hope of destroying the Nyx which I still don’t know who they are or what they did. It’s just a lot, you can’t expect me to drop my life back home’ ‘If that’s the case then why are you here then?’ he asked. ‘I’ve always longed to meet my father one day. Although it seems that day may never come so I’ll settle for a picture of him’. ‘If that’s the case then he’s right there’ he pointed to a picture to my right. I looked and saw a big framed picture of a blonde haired man. I walked closer to the man studying his features. I saw his hazel colored eyes and knew I got them from him. ‘Here’ the man gave me a handkerchief. ‘What?’ I then realized I was crying, I tried cleaning them but they kept falling. A hand clasps my shoulder. ‘He loved you so very much. There wasn’t a day he didn’t wish both you and your mom were with him’ ‘I that’s true then why didn’t he come to get us? Why did he leave us for so many years?’ ‘It was for your safety. Twenty years ago Muralea became even more dangerous than before, the Nyx were insistent on taking the throne and it was not a safe place for you especially since your humans. Only those with Mura’s blood can inherit the sacred weapon needed to stop them, if they knew the king had a child they would stop at nothing to kill you’. ‘Who are these Nyx people I keep hearing about?’ ‘They are, or rather were citizens of Muralea. A very long time ago before Muralea existed this was just a little village with normal people and one day an old lady came to visit, and she was old and creepy so people tried their best to avoid her. Then one day she became sick but no one wanted to interact with her except for a group of friends that were concerned for the lady and went over to her house to make sure she was alright, but the one that was more concerned was Mura. She kept coming every single day to make sure the lady was alright. Turns out she was a witch, when she was all cured she awarded Mura and her friends for their concern regarding her’ ‘It was their power wasn’t it?’ ‘Exactly, she each gave them powers but Mura’s own was more special. While every other clan can only use one ability, the Mura clan ability changes with each generation. The other villagers were amazed with their powers and when the need for a leader arose Mura lea was nominated. And that’s how Mura Lea came to be, but some of the villagers were jealous because of their powers and demanded that the witch grant them alike but that was rejected’. ‘They despised those with powers and rebelled against them. The result of that was exile. They were kicked out of Muralea, but then a few months later the exiled returned with powers of their own, and tried to take the throne, they were incredibly strong that the old lady used the last of her magic and created a very powerful weapon to use against them but it could only be wielded Mura and her descendants. That weapon is called the sacred weapon and unless you take your place as heir to the throne, there is no hope for Muralea’. ‘But I can’t I don’t even have any powers’ ‘You do. We had it sealed off so it won’t go off on earth’ ‘Wait, so your telling me that the fate of Muralea is in my hands?’ he nodded. ‘I’m so sorry I can’t do this, you have to find another person’ ‘You’re the only one who can save us’ Agatha said. ‘Sorry I can’t. I’ll like to go home please?’ ‘But you- Agatha let it go, we can’t force him’ After Xara took me back home, I decided to talk with my mom because I really need someone else’s opinion on this. Though my mom was at loss for words and told me to do what’s best for me. I already forgave her for lying and we chatting and had a little fun before I fully retired from the night. I retired to my room, and I fell asleep almost instantly my head hit the pillow. I woke up in a foggy place; I stood up from the floor and took a look around my surroundings. All I could see was mist. ‘Hello? Mom, anyone here?’ then before I knew it the smoke started to move around me and stopped at my front and a bright light shone in my face. ‘Hello Emilio’ the man spoke.
