Chapter 10

'Agatha?' I called out to her who was still staring at me

'So- sorry!' she quickly scrambled to her feet

'No I should be the one who is sorry' I got up 'I tripped you up'

'You don't have to apologize' she said flustered 'It's fine' she said in a quiet voice

'Ok now that we are all good can we go back to practicing' Germaine came forward

'I just remembered I have something really important to do, sorry but you'll have to continue without me' she curtised then basically ran out of the room

'I'm sorry your highness but it looks like we have to do this ourselves'

'Oh God'

After all lessons for today I retired to my room to rest until I was called for dinner. I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling remembering old times with Tzuyu

'Man it feels like ages since I've seen her. I wish I could call her' I turned to the side staring at my phone that died about few weeks back. There is no technology in this era so obviously there will be no place to charge it or network, I knew that but I couldn't bring myself to let go of it

 *Knock*

One of my maids opened the door 'Its time for dinner your highness'

'I'll be down in a moment' I laid there for a minute or two before I got up

Everyone at the table was engaged in one conversation or the other. It seems like a tradition for all the clan members to eat together, their ancestors must have been close.

'You sure took your sweet time' Xanthe said as I took my seat

'Glad you could join us, I trust your lesson went well?' Kyros asked

'Yes it did'

'I hope Agatha was helpful'

I could sense Agatha stiffen at the question

'Yes she was a big help'

'You are welcome to use her in any way if it helps you progress'

'Use me?' she exclaimed

'Dinner is served' the maids came in with our dinner

'Finally' Hero said with excitement

'I went all out today so please enjoy yourselves to the fullest' the chef said before leaving

Everybody started digging in. The most excited one was Hero. I have learned in these few weeks that he loves food the most and eats a lot

'My prince' Kyros started 'the preparations for the coronation have already started and there is a lot to be done do your current traning will have to cease for the moment'

'That's understandable' I was calm on the outside but on the inside I was full of joy

'Did you get that Hero?'

'Loud and clear' he said tearing the meat off a chicken leg, at least I think it's chicken.

The dinner went on with idle chatter and all. When I was done I told everyone I was retiring for the night but made my way to the prison cells in the castle

'Hey Euni' she raised up her head

'I thought I told you not to come back here. You shouldn't spend so much time with someone like me'

'Why? Are you going to convince or manipulate me into joining your clan or something?'

'Its not right I'm your enemy'

'I don't consider you as my enemy'

'But everyone else does'

'That's because they don't know you'

'Oh? And you do? For all you know I could just be putting up a front so that you might see some good in me and let me out'

'But you're not'

'How can you be so sure?'

'Call it a hunch'

'You are unbelievable' she chuckled

'Thanks and plus you are fun to talk to'

'Right' we heard sounds coming from outside the room

'I think that's your cue to leave'

'Maybe but I will be back' I said before sneaking out

A week has passed since then and the long awaited coronation day came.

I was sleeping on my bed when Agatha came into the room with a trumpet again and played it loudly that I fell out of bed, again.

'Really? Even today?'

'I only do this on special occasions' she said smiling. It seems things between us are back to normal. Since the dancing incident she's been a bit distant.

The maids came into the room, all three of them smiling at me

'No! I've told you three before, I am fully capable of bathing and dressing by myself' I had a hand out

But regardless they still overpowered me and had their way. I was brought to my dressing room where Germaine waited for me

'Your highness let me say what an honor this is for me to be able to prepare you for your crowning' he wiped a tear from his eye and sat me down on a chair 'believe me when I'm done with you, the ladies won't be able to take their eyes off you'

He clapped his hands and the boy who is always with him as usual appeared out of nowhere with his bags

He got to work, styling my hair and making me presentable in every way.

'Perfection' he said probably praising himself for doing such a good job 'now stand here' he directed me to a platform 'I will need help for this' he called out to the maids who were behind us admiring his work.

'And for the finishing touches' he pinned a rare looking flower on me and stepped back in admiration 'Astonishing, you have done it again Germaine' he patted himself

I took a look at myself in the mirror and was surprised at how good I looked. 'Is that right me?' I thought to myself

'Is prince Emilio ready?' Agatha asked walking into the room and stopping short when she saw me 'I'll take that as a yes'

'You think I can pull it off?'

'You already are' her mouth was slightly ajar

'You look incredible too' I complimented 'I almost didn't recognize you without your glasses'

'Thank you' she smiled 'that aside we have to go everybody's waiting' she rushed me outside to the grand doors of the throne room

'Wow so this is it huh?' I said suddenly getting nervous

'Yes, don't worry just remember everything we've done in these past weeks and you will be fine'

'Goodluck' she patted my back before slipping through the doors

'It's ok, you've got this' I gave myself a little pep talk

'Now entering, Emilio Justman, Son of King Amyntas' the announcer called out and the double doors opened

I held my head high and walked upon the carpet leading to the throne on the other side of the room. The room was packed and I could hear murmuring from people all round and a lot of unfamiliar faces but I didn't break form as I walked in

Kyros came forth with a crown on a cushion and with a elder man dressed in an attire that I guessed was the Bishop. He raised his hand and silence consumed the room

''Sir Emilio Just man. As the next of kin and biological son of King Amyntas, you are in line for the throne. Is your highness willing to take the oath?'

'I am willing' I said as practiced

'Will you solemnly swear to govern the people of Muralea according to respected laws and customs in the absence of your father?'

'I swear' I had my right hand out and my left hand to my chest

'Will you in all your judgements express fairness and justice?'

'I will'

'Will you solemnly swear that you can and will protect this Kingdom and the citizens in it against any threat that may arise?

'I swear'

'Then by the power invested in me I now crown you...' he picked up the crown 'Emilio Justman as Emilio Ambrosius, Crown Prince of Muralea' he placed it on my head and also draped a robe on my shoulders

'Long Live Prince Emilio!' Alex shouted from the side lines and everyone joined in the chant

'Long Live Prince Emilio'

I walked down the aisle and out of the Castle to see more of my people surrounding the placed chanting my name. A guard led me to a Chariot decorated with flowers and banners, even the horses were decorated.

I climbed aboard and we road through the cities and towns. Not gonna lie I felt like a celebrity, waving to everyone and all. Agatha rode with me, probably so I won't mess anything up

A group of children ran after us waving and smiling, in the process one little girl fell down

'Stop the Car- I mean Chariot' the men pulled the horses back

'Prince Emilio?'

'Are you alright?' I helped her up and dusted her 'you're the one from before' I said recognizing her 'Are you hurt' she shook her head but tears fell down her eyes

'Here' I took out a handkerchief from my pocket and wiped her tears 'you can keep it' I placed it in her hands

'Thank you' she hugged me out of nowhere but I returned it

'Did you see that? Oh my God that is so cute' I heard people say

I waved goodbye to her and her mother as she nodded her head in gratitude and climbed back into the Chariot

'Did you do that because you'll come off as a kind hearted person or are you just that sweet?' Agatha said

'I'm just that sweet' I winked at her and continued waving at people. I didn't see her because I wasn't paying attention but she blushed hard at my gesture.

After driving through the city, I came back to my room to rest before the coronation ball later today

I changed into an evening attire for the ball and was seated in front of my mirror in my room mentally preparing myself for it because now I'll have to mingle with the citizens and other Kingdom's representatives.

*Knock*

Alex poked his head in the room

'Hey everyone is waiting'

'I know I just needed a minute' I waved him off

'No problem, I know how stressful these things are take all the minutes you need but not too much or the ladies will get bored'

'You know what? I'm fine let's do this' I said chuckling

'Alright' he sung his hand over my shoulder and we both went to ballroom.

'Entering the hall is Prince Emilio Ambrosius and Sir Alex Linos'

Everyone turned heads to our direction as we stepped in

'Alright, maybe I can't do this' I said as I became incredibly nervous
