I walked into the office, I was feeling so self-conscious as if everyone was looking at me but I didn’t dare look back at them. I focused to where I wanted to go which was Artemis’ office, after all I didn’t show up to work for almost a week without the boss’s permission so I would need to ask for forgiveness if I don’t end up getting fired.
I stopped by Brianna’s desk, “hey.” I said.
She looked up at me her expression changing when she smiled at me, “you finally decided to show up, huh?” She asked.
I nodded.
“Are you okay?” She asked.
“I am now. Is Artemis’ in his office?” I asked.
“Yes, he is. You can go and see him.” She said as she pointed to the door.
I turned, took a deep breath and let it out then I made my way to the office. I knocked. “Come in!” I heard him yell.
