Anna I felt like I had been transported back in time. The house was decorated with blue balloons because I hated pink, mainly because girls were supposed to like it. With my matching blue dress that mom stitched for me. I remember dancing around singing while waiting for mom and dad to come back impatiently. Initially, the delay made me angry, but as time kept passing, a feeling of loneliness kept settling in. My aunt kept placating me but I knew something was wrong. I could feel it in the atmosphere. When my aunt broke the news to me, I didn't cry. Not one tear fell from my eyes and everyone looked concerned about my reaction.
